Basically. The Mesmer elite that turns enemy into a Moa is unfair. Everyone knows it. What is the longest you have survived in a match once you’ve been turned into a moa?

It is basically an instant kill, makes the player worthless skill.

Why not give the moa some better skills, or at least a way to defend itself or stay alive? It seems like all my armor disappears when ever I am moa’d. Name me another Elite skill that makes an enemy as worthless as this Mesmer elite?

If the devs are truly about fair Pvp matches, they will fix this. I’m not asking them to nerf it, or get rid of it. Just give the Moa’d player a chance to live thru it.

Learn the skills and learn to dodge roll.

Dodge roll and if that fails then learn to run out of LOS – It can save your life.

dodge rolling does not save you if you ‘re a moa for 10 seconds and have 2 attackers on you. I’ve never been alive long enough to use more than one moa skill, and it does no damage. But this argument makes my original point. there are no other elites that force the enemy player into purely defensive, run for your life type of play.

Skill #5 on Moa form is to flee quite fast, also has an evade tied into it.

Unless you are under a heavy focus fire otherwise you won’t just die from turning into a moa. Well, with one other exception, you are a glassy thief. Like others has said, LOS is your best defence. In an non-pre-made game, I rarely die to a Moa. It is about 1 out of 10 times that I die to a Moa.

I can’t survive as a Moa any longer than 10 seconds. But after it ends I can usually do just fine! :}

well anyway, I got the standard responses I was expecting, But I don’t want to Run away when I am moa’d, I want to still fight.

ok. for now when I am moa’d, I dodge. hit skill 5, and get out of range of fire. then run back. fun times.

Long enough to kill the mesmer in moa form if they use it at the wrong time. As long as I’m not getting chain stunned by a group moa morph is seldom the deciding factor. It’s just annoying.

Wow, can’t say I’ve ever died while in Moa unless it was a situation where I was going to die anyway. In fact, next time you get Moa’d, look that mesmer straight in the eyes and start attacking. I’ve killed many Mesmers as a Moa, it’s incredibly funny. In short, Moa does not need a nerf. Just L2p.

Moa form is pretty great. I see a lot of mesmers using it wrong tho. I use it to get rid of lich form, or rampage, or if someone is going to die anyways and i want it to happen quicker.

The cd on the skill and the fact that you have three evades and you still can damage the mesmer a lot makes it so the skill really isnt that OP.

I haven’t really died in the moa form :I, like most are saying, just look on wiki what the abilities are and when your against a mez with the moa skill then just use the moa’s mobility ability and your 2 dogde + the terrain and then the effect should be off, unless its an 1v3 then it’ll might be hard and depending on the class your playing. Or like I sometimes do in a 1v1, just start pecking the mez to death o_o

Moa is dodgeable, blockable, blindable and a huge cooldown. It’s one of the most risky skills. It is obvious it should be rewarding. Even so, it’s pretty easy to survive as a moa if your team bothers to peel for you.
Just use normal dodges to avoid stuff and skill 5 when you are immobilized.

i can’t remember the last time moa killed me, usually i’m grateful to the mesmer for giving me a free evade skill that gets me to cover so i can heal up :P
its a shame they can only great me this awesome evade skill once every few mins.
