Guild Wars 2

Well I got some how interested a lot in tourneys and I wanted to know what can make a team win and how what classes are needed what build in those classes and such anybody have an idea?

A pretty sure-fire solid foundation would be:
Guardian Bunker (there’s a few variant builds here)
Mesmer far point/portal-bomber/general kitten the other players up guy (cannot go wrong with 20/20/0/0/30)

After that a fairly excellent selection of characters for the other 3 slots:
D/D Ele 0/10/-/20+/30
Necro – Not sure here I don’t have enough experience on mine. However I did have moderate success fooling around with a well build
Thief roamer (a really well played ranger also meshes well with a d/d ele and a necro)

roamers and bunkers

bunkers sit on points and support the roamers near them. High defence and good support skills, make sure they can sit on a point and not die to 2+ people attacking them for as long as possible.

roamers assist where ever they are needed. They need high dps and a decent amount of dodge skills, also good to have is interrupt skills.

any class can be built as either but some are better.

3 type of class is just a mesmer and its always good to have a good mesmer for portals and general support and damage.

guardians are obvious tanks

thief and warriors obvious glass cannons.

engi, necro, ranger than play w/e they want but don’t excell as much as the others. necros are also better used as bunker support than dps.

d/d elementalists are good roamer/bunker hybrid and are good all around.

guardian, elementalist, thief, mesmer and anything else is a good team.

and this is why EU takes the kitten out of NA, the same old meta ( guardian, mesmer, necro, ele, thief/warr). All the top teams use that broken composition, be creative.
We rolled 2 warrios, ranger, engi, guardian in paids, and ask any of the top players (QTs, Pzs, Rayteks team), we gave them a hard time, they won in strategies, but we took the surprise on them and lost the games by 100 points and less. Just bc a comp is a joke, doesn’t mean it can’t work, u need to make it work.

Eh to an extent. Imo mesmer home point is too stronk atm. Mesmer is the only class I feel is basically neccessary to compete against the comps using mesmer.

No mesmer = pidgeon holed into 5v4s

@Lelouche. I don’t see you anywhere in paids, so I don’t see why you should be talking about meta or NA vs EU etc
You’re trashing your own community when you’re not in even a position to give any viable input.

input? not to use the broken meta, be creative, that it what changes the game. And u fully know were the meta stands in NA at the moment, so don’t come with that.
paids? Midori Ryuuk, ranger, don’t have a fix team to run, plus, living in EU doesn’t help with the timezone
the pic? it seems the builds were not op enough (just teasing) or did not fit with the comp, keep being creative, nothing against it.
