How to counter hundred blade warriors and heartseeker theives in a defensive position as a conditionmancer.

This is assuming you are scepter knife/staff.

If you see an enemy coming place all your marks at your feet and do not move. Most thieves/warriors will blow a cooldown or two to ruin you. The fear will stop them from doing any significant damage. If the warrior is immune to fear, swap weapons to scepter drop weakness and dodge kite.

Even better is finding a position where individuals in melee range cannot reach you, allowing you to get a significant condition advantage before dropping down to fight your enemy.

In most situations you should pull out ontop, as the warrior cannot pin you down long enough to do substantial damage.

If the thief or warrior has a ranged secondary and does not fall for your bait. Do not move. Simply bleed them down as over the duration of your ranged fight you will pull ahead in damage.

Your ability to escape burst situations is entirely up to you, as spectral armor does break stun and you can trait DS for stability.

Just a few tips, have a good one.

Works in theory but skilled players will have condition removers. There is a difference between players that spam abilities, and players that spam abilities with wise use of the other utilities and skills they are given.

Necromancers are not bursty as condition builds, if they remove conditions put more on. You have the ability to do so, and if you premed your marks your CDs will be up on your marks again

I leveled a necro to 80 first and still play one, but with condition damage being unmitigated by anything except complete damage immunity right now, any player with half a brain is using 1-2 condi removers. If you just try to stay out of range and are successfully kiting them, they will usually go find someone else to bother or call for back up and just lay harass down until you get jumped by a bursty ranged class

I play conditionmancer and the only class I am able to beat consistently 1v1 are warriors and theives due to the current meta they are built squishy and are fairly easy to kite but I get owned by any other class(maybe except ele) if they spec any condition removal.
eg rangers out dps you hard and you cant kite them since they are ranged
guardians are tanky as hell and do way too much damage for how tanky they are and how many heals they have
mesmers the same problems everyone else is having ie phantasm doing way too much damage clones being annoying as hell to deal with

Step 1: Be a warrior
Step 2: Shield stance
Step 3: Wait the whole duration of shieldstance
Step 4: Mutilate the glass cannon

honestly i think the only way to lose with a necro is being targetd hard in the first 1-3 minutes of the game after that he will have enought death shroud to hold the point till next year. ahahah
remember guys that burst damage is all about long cd skills, while dps classes usually works better with autoattacks or more than 1 good skill so they can cycle all of them. learn to avoid the main skill of the burst (bull’s charge is the main of hundred in my opinion for example), and you will have a free time to dps

Theres only 8 sec cd on hundred blades, and those who have a bit of brain will charge/immobilize you so you are very limited in terms of options to neglect their dmg.

I also have a solution to counter 100blades and heartseeker, and it works across all classes!

That will help you counter the average idiot warrior. Some of them actually immobilize & stun you. Great feedback though…

warrior’s stuns have higher cd. if you die to a guardian immobilize+hundred blades i call it TEAMPLAY and i think it is fine: 2 minds wins against 1. or you could have a mate with a class which instaremoved your condition and you escaped free laughing at 3secs wasted hundred blades.
game is balanced. personal skill is what makes you better than other players.

quickness + hundred blades garbage is getting annoying.

I suggest you try elementalist for a couple of hours then.

I dont have a mate in PvP cause the queuing system doesn’t allow me to queue with a friend w/o a great deal of uncertainty and annoyance.

i play thief,i have 14k hp, 1.9k armor. i know better what it does means. and for your laughs, most of the times i die is because my target is close to a war aoeing hundred and hitting me by a side.
it is called “me noob”.

the game is not build centric but skill centric, meaning you can win if you know how to win. you can give me a op build, but if i don’t know how to use it i won’t win a single fight against a decent opponent.
maybe i don’t know how ele works right now, but probably is a general lack of experience due to other mmorpgs/gw1’s gvg/etc mentality

Regardless of skill or not, an avg. player will kill as war/theif and fail as ele, and I don’t think that’s good for balance

what is balance? and at what level should be “leveled”?
as a “wanna be e-sport”, this spvp should balanced at maximum level possible, as any other game out there.
do you want game to be balanced aroung the casual gamer? or you want it to be balanced at the higher, where you will see, yelling and cheering at your favourite team when they do inhuman skilled pro moves?

i don’t pretend to be best player after 20 days of release. but out there there are better players which win in this state of the game. as it was in gw1 or we had been top 10 in ladder every game, every guilds, every days.

And then we all remembered that a glass cannon ele is just as lethal, and then Otiz badgered off.
And then we all remembered that glass cannons are only viable in a larger picture than a 1v1. A glass cannon to assist others in a fight is a perfectly fine tactic.
Note the tactic bit. It’s useless without that bit.

I love how everyones argument against conditions, is condition removal. Well really Sherlock? Necromancers have plenty of cooldowns to keep conditions loaded on individuals, if you dont front end all your conditions. Your point isnt to burn someone down, but to draw the fight out. Typically the longer the fight is drawn the greater the chance the necromancer is to win. Even more so in team fights. Necromancers primary strategy right now is damage mitigation, so that the subpar damage necromancers do has the time to kill their opponent.

- Charge
- knockdown
- 100 blades
- dead

I had no problems with thieves or 100 blade warriors in sPvP but in tPvP it’s a whole other beast.

Heartseeker got nerfed, rightfully so but you still have 100 blades that does 11-17k on my 1800+ toughness necro and sorry to say it, but that’s way too much dmg.

dodge bull’s charge= free win.
put marks under your character, free break stun.
