When I’m on my shoutbow cele warrior, I really find it hard to 1v1 rifle cele engies(specially with slick shoes, oh how I hate thee). I always have to bail coz I’m low on health and got no more shouts left, while the engi just healed all the damage I did, and keep cc-ing the hell out of me. Tips would be appreciated.

If run fear me, save it for slick shoes. Also leaping away or hitting them with LB 5 could work for that. Otherwise I would think that trying to keep yourself alive through condi clears and keeping condis on them would be your best bet. Keep your fire field and fire aura up – they only have so many condi clears. Then hopefully you can wear them down and get a final thrust in that seals it for you. Dodge magnet pull and their rifle jump attack, along with crowbar, thhose are the heaviest hitters.
Oh, and don’t stand in any poison. I would think this should help?

Shoutbow warrior is more or less a bunker. You will always have a hard time to beat other sustain classes (other warrior, cele ele, cele engi or bleed ranger)
If you like to kill something do not play a sustain build

dodge overcharge, land LB swaps after he uses a heal (or cover the condis so he cant cleanse them), dodge nades, use cleanse an cds effectively, kite effectively.

Yeah I usually play power necro lately, but I’m forced to play sustain if I get a lot of mesmer, necro and thief on my pug team.
If you play your warrior correct the engi will also have a very hard time to kill you. You play a sustain build and your role in your team is not to roam around and kill pleople in 5sec. Face it. Kill the engi by good team rotations not by killing him 1on1.

Yeah I make sure the point is mine before trying to 1v1 anyone and waste his time. It’s just that I can almost always outsustain all classes, except the cele rifle engi.

isn’t shoutbow warrior just bad in 1vs1. I thought they are mostly used in small groups.

the build was actually made to fight cele classes in 1v1, just turns out its decent in skirmishes
