I have been reading forum lately a lot and there is few post which flame spvp ranked arena in current state ( I do not agree with that ) and want to bring solo only ranked ( totally against it). So I want to share with you this nice match and nice comeback win.
I had my share of frustration about Solo Arena both in Gw2 and Swtor especially after playing Wow arena for over 7+ years where you can only do it in team which far less stressful. I feel that current system encourage people to group together which is good thing and step to form a team (that is how ranked should be played anyway).
Here are few advices which helped me to enjoy Ranked sPVP much more:
1) Sign with class , spec which you enjoy playing most and you are good with it: people make mistake signing with spec which do not enjoy and cannot play because it is meta (leave meta classes for high elo and tournaments). Especially in Solo sPVP more important that class, spec is how good you play it because you cannot control your team composition at all. Even if you loose there is high chance you will enjoy it because you like to play this class.
2) Sign with friend or two: That really helps even if you are not ts just to have someone who you like to play or you know plays good help a lot
3) Do not flame your team: it never helps and discourage people to give their best. Remember they do not know what you want to do so let them know if you are experience take control, write objectives , ping on map and be a leader if you are good:)
4) Do not worry too much about loosing too much but take pride in playing good : remember this is not 1vs1 or 1vs5 even if you play perfect there is not 100% that you win and other way around.
5)Be a team player and communicated with team: stop looking for how many points and kills you got start looking how many points your team. Communicate with your team.
6) Just try to have fun. It is just a game and there are people who also want to have fun try to add to it and not ruin it
7) Never give up: I was part of really improbable comback wins so do your best even if you are loosing concentrate on getting your skills better and as long you do your best there is not much else you can do. It is still team vs team
8) Community in gw2 is probably best when it comes to mmo so do not ruin it but try to add to it
If that does not help get a team and then only person you can blame is you
Hopefully this advices will help someone to enjoy sPVP more happy people more enjoyable sPVP for everyone.
Give your opinion and own advices on subject and have fun.

Excellent advice. You’re a rather new player, but I think some veteran players constantly blaming their teammates could really use some of your wisdom. This game would be a lot more fun if we could just take it easy. And yeah, your remark about meta builds is totally true. In the old meta I was worried every time there was a warrior on my team, and now it’s when I see an engineer. I’d much prefer a good power ranger on my team than a bad cele engineer. Thank you for your post!
@Sorel You are spot on I also prefer good not meta class build who actually play good I am new in Guild Wars 2 ( I have played it on release but did not like state of it) so I had a break.
I was addicted to Wow Arena for 7+ years with good results but always played class and spec which I liked not necessary top tier or second tier comps. Still getting rating which satisfied me so it is not like you have choose your class around meta what it counts is simple results haha.
Thanks for reading.
I added point 7 plus I have made special series for this one called Never Give Up where I will put strange matches which went from bad to good:). Link to it below.

I wish more people would have your attitude.
Thanks. I can understand players frustrations because solo Que is much much different then team vs team it is hard to get used to when you played team vs team before.
So to enjoy it you need to change your mindset a little bit and understand that your teammates not always know what you want to do and they have sometimes different ideas. It is important to not add to stress by stupid comments I always say if you type something meaningless and who is playing then? Fairy ?
Community in gw2 is probably best when it comes to mmo so do not ruin it but try to add to it
PS I think ping system could be little better and map too.
