Hi I need 500g how do I make money when I only SPvP?

While sitting in the mists you should get 10 whispers from gold sellers per hour.

Win a few 2v2, 3v3, or conquest Mistpedia tournaments.

Win some gems if you do well enough in the ToL 2.

Play for a really long time, sell all the mats you get out of the chests when you salvage the items.

You could maybe pull out a 2Gold per hour AVG… so .. only 250 hours left get farming.

PVE is boring as kitten though :/ I’d say they’ve earned it, I don’t wanna do dungeons so I don’t do them, and Im pretty sure no one really likes doing em..

They might have earned it with time, but frankly it takes no effort/skill. Gold per hour can be measured in how much time or effort (or even skill) is put into it. They just gave us a random number in PvP that doesn’t measure either of those. Win a solo queue? Here’s 5 more silver for you. That’s silly.

PvE is boring to you. Most of the people who play PvE find it fun. I used to as well. We should be able to be rewarded for high skill play, not just boring play.

Olrun, I cannot tell if you’re referring to “we” as in PvErs or “we” as in PvPers for “should be able to be rewarded for high skill play”.

Right exactly someone might find it fun, but I see it as a mindless grind..

I guess the question is what should be rewarded, fun meaningful gameplay or Boring grindy Gameplay? AFAIK the Devs have chosen the latter.

I guess someone might find it fun.. and it’s an interesting change of pace sometimes but I played pve :/

Dungeons? Grind
Worldbosses? Grind
MapCompletion? Not the first time.
Champ Farm? Grind
Champ Farm with Zergs and Siege weapons? Grind.

Everyone should be able to be reward for high skill play. If they release difficult PvE content, that should have higher rewards than the grindy dungeons. If you’re winning in team queues, you should be compensated accordingly. People should play what they find fun, but what should be rewarded is skill.

I miss gw1, win gvg monthly tourney or hero battles, get 2309805 tourney points and buy 12345 zkeys, buy everything forever. When you were low on money and actually good you could do a couple 25 win streaks in random arena and make 100k in a couple hours. (monking 2 ez)

In this game I just use the tp inbetween queues, it’s really boring but makes lots of money when I bother to do it.

You are being rewarded highly in team que.

You make 1.5 more rank points in team que than in solo que.

we used to be able to make loads of money by crafting dyes,
but alas, that was removed when the unrewarding “reward tracks” replaced our actual rewards XD

The new rewards are actually more money than the old dyes.

do tl;dr eports is too OP to be making money so we gotta PvE if we wanna make gold?

If you actually win the tournaments (esports) you’ll consistently get a lot of gems. Other than that it has nothing to do with esports. I do wish rewards for successful tPvP were higher, but tPvP isn’t esports at all.

It really is. If they cared about queue times, all they would have to do is buff gold per hour or add new skins if they’re worried about inflation.

Join the PvP of the mind community, play the TP.

I’m quite serious that if you’ve got the brains and you’re willing to sacrifice two evenings to learning playing the TP, you will never have to worry about gold again. The more you have, the more you earn, too. Try it. It will save you the grind.
