So now that the pre-order kittenstorm has happened, I was reminded of a question I had earlier: Do we need to get HoT to use the new elite specializations? I’m inclined to think that’s the case.
Seems like a pay to win thing to me… Getting a new traitline that may give PvP advantages not present in a vanilla profession. I liked how currently, with regard to PvP(90% of my time), the amount of IRL money you had only affected how you looked or PvE quality of life(items in your house ,bag slots etc).

elite specs and revenant are expansion only, stronghold is free. that’s a normal thing for expansions, new classes are never free and were not in gw1 either.

I’ve already determined that the next version of my main build is better without Dragonhunter.

Other classes might have better elites idk.
