How are small parties going to be factored into this new queue system? Usually when i play i just queue up for tpvp with my gf, but if the tpvp queue is separated into solo and group queue, with the hope that most players playing by themselves will use solo queue, won’t queue times for small groups turn into long lines at the donut store?

I’m thinking that it would probably take longer to appropriately match a group of 2 with another group of 3, right? So basically no more small groups, must have 5 players to avoid long queue times??

Please correct me if I am wrong. am I misunderstanding this new solo q?

I would also like to hear Anets position on this, there have been many posts asking. Did they say there was a blog coming? Maybe the answer will be in that (if there is one, not too sure).

I asked the same question ealier and had no more then 5 replies. Anet is keeping us in thedark about this. I am under the impression they don’t have the answer just yet, because If they did there would be no reason to keep silent.

i would like to think the solo que system will break down that small teams of 2 or 3 to individuals and randomize the individuals.

if that’s not the case, make it that way.

Anything other than all solo is unbalanced. Two people playing together talking on headsets have too much of a coordination advantage.

Two or three people just need to group and use the regular tPvP Queue.

Just tell me this, how stupid would be if the problem right now is people that joins individualy fights premade teams that are clearly gaining an advantage against a guy who enters with other 4 guys that he dosent know and dont have plans, or strategies, then the devs decides to support 2,3,4 people in a group join the solo games, didint this is stupid to you?, to try to solve the problem creating the same problem at the same time?…

There is no way they are allowing this because there is a reason for it to be SOLO games, there are already TEAM games, you and your friends can play there right now, you are not complete?, then find members, thats it.

i do soloQ only (im to lazy for a team and dont wanna play with set time schedule) and i rly care only for the soloQ leaderboard and will farm in teamQ my champion titles^^

So… if 2 friends team up and join it means that 3 soloers could potentially be teamed with them and face a full 5 man premade?

That sounds like a recipe for QQing…

I presume team queue will be completely locked out for only teams, and if you go solo you will only face people who also used solo queue. You just simply can’t merge them together, because it would create unfair teams for others.

It doesn’t make any sense how two people can queue in together, and cause a significant advantage over the enemy team because they have 2 coordinated people against all pugs

2 coordinated people > 0 coordinated people,

pretty simple to understand.

A team of 2 or 3 is still a team and doesn’t belong in SOLO Q. Team Q will be longer now, but the matches will be more competitive.

ROFLstomping a random PUG with your premade is a waste of everyone’s time, and it’s about time it came to an end.

Unranked queue would be perfect for this. Think League of Legends normal queue. People eat that kind of stuff up.

Someone already said the answer, not sure why your still trying to come up with ideas.

Solo q is just 1 person queuing, team q is 1 or more.

Answer: you and your friend group and join the TeamQ.

NO… solo its solo and keep your fancy and deceitful ideas for yourself, there is already a team game,so either play there or alone.

I cant believe this really.

They already said that solo is solo (period), and also, that the roster in solo will be hidden.
If u want to play with a friend, 2 options, queue at the same time and pray u get in the same roster (since it’s hidden u won’t know till the begining of the match, but the playerbase is so low that u have a good chance).
Queue in the team-premade queue, and expect larger queue’s time and you will probably end up against a full team with voice and balanced roster (balanced meaning using the overpowered spec/classes). By the way, do not queue with 4 in the team queue xD, unless u have a lot of free time.
