Huge Twitter response!
AN doesn’t realize the poor balance effects their hopes of PVP being a success. They seem to think we are all just a bunch of cry babies because not all of us choose to play flavor of the month.

Does anyone actually care about twitter? It’s not like people without a following are going to give a kitten about social media.
It’s true no one with a life cares about twitter.

People actually use twitter? Isn’t that just for kids?
Twitter is for chumps.
And the gw2’s twitch chanel banners:
“GUILDWARS PLAY FOR FREE” and
“JOURNEY DEEPER AVAILABLE NOW”
got less than 650 clicks during the first week of the pro league – the money will be well spent or NOT.
stop kittening about this holy kitten.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
Lol@twitter, stop wasting time

The reoccurring theme is they built GW2 for themselves and not for us. It’s not our game, it’s their game and we we don’t like it we should go play something else. They don’t want to hear that they’ve made horrible mistakes with the design and they don’t want to engage the forum community and begin a dialog.
That is the common trend I’ve noticed. Unlike so many other MMO forums, you don’t have open dialog here between developer and community. You get occasional post from staff but very little follow up. ArenaNet staff generally come into the forums to make announcements, scold us or to provide very brief comments. They do not engage the community in a way I think they should and that’s a real shame.
They have put in the big bucks in an attempt to capture the professional gaming crowd…and failed miserably.
Many reasons why. There are lots of really good, really competent solo pvpers who have been playing pvp exclusively for years. With the current arrangement, this poor lot is getting farmed by pre-made teams. In most cases, the soloQuers are much more skilled and knowledgeable than the premade members.
How does a company expect the current player base to praise their game when they get treated like dirt?
If they made an effort to make the player base happy, word will spread virally. But until that happens, they can throw whatever cash prize they can afford but never realize their goals.
