This is unacceptable I never have these kinds of spikes in other games whereas my ping is normally around 30-70.

i call them kitten lags, st like lag7. kitten use that sort of thing.

I’m not saying it’s not the game but you can’t just assume.
There’s a lot going on between your modem and the GW server.
Try running a traceroute.

so nice u have 30 – 70 ms ping

if i get 200 – 300 ms ping i’m happy.

normally there will not be lag spikes though unless patch day.

I’m having the same problem just for sPvP. Any other game mode is fine. Is there a fix for this issue?

I know uploading videos causes ping increases but that’s expected. Even when I’m not uploading it can randomly spike to ludicrous amounts.

I’ll exit and run an ipconfig /FlushDNS in elevated command prompt but that’s usually just very temporary.

as usual, a day before patch, lag spikes will occur.

Yes, I’ve been having this for 2 weeks now. Made me quit GW2 until it’s fixed.

I don’t think these are related. Haven’t had this issue in any other game, or even in PvE/WvW, but the moment I get a ranked match suddenly the game becomes unplayable.

;) gave as an example, in my case when gw2 ping increases it is always the windows update.
