Compared to thieves—it isn’t OP at all. And you have to land it to stealth right?

1200 range…… like I don’t know if this weapon is viable or not, that’s not the point. They’re introducing new stealth mechanics like if it wasn’t enough to deal whit the stealth we already have. I mean I don’t understand the ‘’stealth hate’’ a.k.a revelead, and then we have to deal whit a ranged nearly spammable stealth. I’m kinda lost.

It makes it less predictable when a Ranger wants to CC you, Barrage, Rapid Fire, switch to another weapon… I’m all for less predictable passive Rangers

100% Crit Chance from stealth or after (Remorseless trait + Precise Strike) every 9.5s. Comparable to what thieves can do in a D/P set, only with out the need to get revealed and with superior range and slightly less damage. They just might make rangers interesting yet. Hopefully one of the good rangers out there has enough tools now to make a build that isn’t so reliant on passives (spirits, pets, etc.). I know they have been trying to pull it off for a long time.

Stealth is completely fine in 3s intervals. Which is what this is, without extention. Rangers originally had a stealth utility to begin with. It’s not like this is a profession that is foreign to the effect from infancy.

It is literally 3s without extension of any sort. The threat is incredibly low and is stealth in it’s most balanced iteration. Stop tripping until the patch goes out. Stealth in itself doesn’t need a counter when it lasts for small duration. It’s when it gets stacked, and extended that there is no counter-play or sense of pace that a defender can work around.

How is the best disengage mechanic in the game, stealth, an offensive mechanic? You can stealth and switch weapons, run away, etc.
It encourages both offensive and defensive playstyle. Like if bunker rangers didn’t have enough survivability, they can now nearly perma stealth.

Lol the new qq begins. In spvp longbow is now finally viable (even good). In wvw…well nobody cares about wvw since is already totally unbalanced as it is.

Bunker rangers spec towards more condition damage and LB is more of a power weapon. A bunker ranger would need to give up a lot for a tiny bit of stealth. Don’t see a reason to switch to LB. Stealth is OP in WvW, useless in PvE and I find it to be about right in sPvP.

The fact that you are comparing a mechanic that SHOULD have been strictly for thieves, to a ranger, is just silly.

Why don’t we trade? We give you some stealth, you give us some automated AI, how about a pet or some spirits?

I would use LB just to stealth every 10 sec.. It’s kinda sad that the only way to make a weapon viable is adding stealth into it….. This is not a ranger hate, it’s actually sad the way Anet is taking to fix unviable weapons/builds.
