In light of many negative posts floating about, I decided to make a positive one. As the title says, I actually enjoy this meta and this season. There isn’t anything as overpowered as condi rev or bunker mes and the matches are actually fun (had many reallllyyy close and crazy matches). I went through some Sapphire and most of Ruby fighting Diamonds (my duo Q friend was Diamond) and then solo qued Diamond and well… it was actually fun. I could relate to people disliking previous season but this season, imo, seems pretty well balanced. Everything has some kind of counter (except Moa I guess) and there’s no nail that sticks out as much as condi rev and bunker mes last season. This season is probably the most fun I’ve personally had in sPvP after HoT came out. Yup… I said it

Yes its true that no class is currently so above others, that it would be worth stacking it.

On the other side, the bottom 3 classes arent even considered viable.

And the top 6 classes power creep in defense has gone so up, that were only killing with dots making it a cooldown war, while the crowd always enjoys power zerkers oneshoting each other at any moment.

So yea, its not horrid zzzz meta of 10x rezz and 99% resistance uptime, but its just not the exciting one and a thrid of classes are left out ( or two thirds need more shaves rather).

You draw the wrong conclusion from your comment. People run those types of builds because the reward to risk ratio is the highest. People play PvP to win, not to have the most fun.

@ Flumek, Yeah it’s true that a few classes are sort of in the bottom tier but it’s always like that and it sucks. I’ve still seen some decent thieves, DHs and warriors tho (altho good warriors are…. rare).

@Apolo, yeah it is a bit crazy that pretty much all the classes which are “at the top” right now have really nice sustain and really nice damage. I think it would be OP in the past, but if every one of the top classes can do the same it balances out.

My thing with the meta that I love so much is that every class can has a chance to kill all other classes. Obviously this is easier for other classes, but regardless, we dont have classes running around that cant die even if you had the whole team on them. We are talking about average to about average players here as well, not super good #1 players in their classes… Thats a different story

Season one was always gonna be a clusterkitten with new elite specs and an new profession.

Season two balance is much better there is still professions trending better than others but that will always be the case in these types of games . I feel i can hop on any profession and not feel a bleak sense of hopelessness that i felt in season one meta .

Hopefully the next balance patch continues to improve things.
