This is my first time posting on the forums so HELLO! I just wanted to say I’m loving these new elite specs and revenant! need a little work, somewhat balanced, but the main thing is just that it is REALLY annoying pvping with them because every match all you do is get flamed for it! I don’t mind, I’m doing it you guys!

Welcome to the PvP Forums,
Sadly, this is not a new issue for the pvp community. Whenever anything new is released it is common for players to throw a fit and complain. Just ignore them and enjoy playing your specialization.

Side note, make sure you’re playing in Practice or Unranked until you are comfortable with the elite spec / revenant. This should help alleviate some of the complaints you are receiving.

I found the best way to deal with this was carry their kitten to victory. I got many “first good rev ive seen” after topping the score boards and constantly turning around losing fights.

If you’re going into ranked matches and you have no clue how to play the new specs/class then you’re going to get flamed. People played ranked to win – it’s frustrating to lose because someone is playing a class that they have no idea how to play and end up being a liability.

This guys gets it same thing happened for the first PvP rev beta ranked was filled with complaints last time I took a break from PvP and just went to WvW it was too frustrating. Aren’t they limiting Stronghold to unranked? They did it for 3 untraditional maps as well do the same for specializations leave ranked alone even if calling it ranked is questionable. Wait until release.

lol im not doing ranked, thats asking for it! I did wreck face with tempest but i was celestial burning tempest so i kind of felt like i was cheating^.^

If you’re queuing for unranked, don’t feel bad, they’re just being kittens. Scrubs often like having scapegoats.

Now from my experience, I don’t think I’ve ever won a match with 2 or more beta builds in ranked.

Tempest isn’t that bad. Could use a few tweaks and has some bugged traits. A couple of the shouts are okay. Warhorn is good for sustain, but doesn’t have good anti-burst damage like focus.

I’ve seen two decent revenants all weekend. The good combos aren’t intuitive, which is where people are getting stuck so much. Mallyx is overpowered, honestly.

If you’re an attunement face-roll ele, maybe. Tempest emphasizes risk/reward. It may not be totally there on the reward part, but the concept is solid.

Lol, sure it does. It only has a terrible desing, completely useless mechanics, such a bad trait line, weak utilities and warhorn. Theres’s very little good about the spec. It brings nothing new to the class and actually using it would be a downrade from what ele already as, but keep tinking it’s good, at least not everyone will hate it.

For pve: Less dps.
For pvp: Les dps and less survability.

But ye, it’s awesome.

i personally enjoy not smashing my face against the keyboard as much as standard dd ele but to each their own

The leader boards for ranked has been offline for months, there really is no need to complain at all. Unranked uses its own system just like ranked to match up people, so essentially both of them are really the same at the moment.

Except tempest has basically nothing to do with that. It’s a terrible elite spec and most people know it, time for the devs to find out.

I now get the idea why you were being insulted, tough.

No the fact of the matter is tempest doesnt bring anything new and does d/ds job worse. Overloads are also god awefule in pvp. the fire one is the only viable one and even then its still a big risk for a so so reward. They needs some serious rework.

And everyone who wants to play super theif rev are garbage (half because the sword skills don’t have evade frames and the block is bugged). but the celestial/condi builds are effective. the problem is rev is ridiculously seceptable to condi so you need to pair them with an ele or other support to be effective .

But I brought my rev into ranked and won 3/3 matches.. yeah its not a high sample size but its a short weekend. Rev in a team support roll is amazing with near perma stab (or atleast whenever you need it. 50% damage reduction Aoe 3 second stun high mobility good sustain high condi/physical pressure. he fits the ele support roll perfectly if it just got some more condi clense.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Actually in most cases, it is best to just turn off chat anyway. There isn’t much valuable to be said there. You can just watch the map instead.
