Another terrible design choice by the A-Net team.

All it does is raise the skill floor a bit, most higher tier players dont really use it due to a lack of control and predictive placement measures. Ground target skills can be a real barrier of entry for some players. It wasn’t a terrible choice.

Now marks and grenades are as easy to use as Revenant Sword 2/3 and Hammer 2 for low-mid tier players, I see no real problem with that.

The difference between a aimbot in a FPS and snapcast here, is that a aimbot gives the user and edge over other players. Snapcast however actually hinders a player’s performance, and is just a crutch for players that for whatever reason can’t use PAoEs to there fullest.

Its not cheating if everyone can use it.

why shouldn’t it be allowed it’s pretty useless
especially in pvp because the target moves and your attack hit, were the target was a moment ago —> useless
the other thing is classes like ele or thief or mesmer want to get away from the target with blink,lightningflash or shadowstep … why would they want to get teleported to their enemy, to die ?

I also don’t agree with that snapcast thing. I was ashamed when I saw the possibility to do it. But you should NOT use it on staff elementalist, unless you like bad static fields.

Only works on some class’s. Using infiltrations arrow to escape but port into an aoe bomb wasn’t a clever idea. So I removed it.

that is even more reason why its unfair it gives specific classes a big advantage

Except again, it’s not a advantage, it’s a disadvantage.

It’s rarely if ever optimal to center a AoE on a target.

The only person i could possibly imagine that thinks this feature is unfair would be a clicker, and if thats the case, thats a whole other problem on their end

Without it then you’d be placing the field wherever your mouse cursor was before you started moving. Sometimes if you’re moving yet need to place a field it’ll be off in an awkward spot and you’d have to swing around to get it where you want it. Snapcast solves that problem mostly. It’s also great for skills like vault and skills like shortbow 5 aren’t even effected by it.

But snapcast is terrible. It always fires your abilities directly underneath your target. Problem is, lots of abilities have cast times and projectile travel speeds.

Necro marks won’t even land under a moving target.

Well I guess I’m a clicker then, but I average 80-90% percent wins in my game history and i get about 170+ points per game. By no means am i a free kill.

It is annoying to have to have to click skills because it makes it hard to to mouse target. I tried re-binding my keys, but haven’t come up with a config that’s comfortable. i don’t want to pay $100 for a gaming mouse or game pad, so what are my options?

Rebind keys and practise you wont switch over in a day ( i have my 4,5 7,8,9 keys bound to the side of my mouse my heal is middle mouse and elite is e) just find something that works for you
