Did you know that if you click the button on the left of your screen for single/team matches, it puts a green check by your name? If you do that when you hop into the game before you go afk and/or jump around, it will start the match when 10 ppl have clicked it.

I am always surprised by the number of people who would rather run around in circles and jump around before a game rather than click the ready button when there are 10 people there ready to go.

Is it because people don’t see this ready button or know that if both teams are ready, you don’t have to stand around forever before a match starts? I vote for making that ready button front and center on the screen so people actually click it.

99% of the time Billy the necro is too busy pveing to join the match till the Pull in.

I used to ask people to hit ready so we could save a minute of our lives. There is only 1 time it actually worked. Anet could just reduce the timer in soloQ, I don’t really enjoy waiting 5 minutes for a match then waiting another 1.5 once inside. It’s like going to the doctor’s office, you wait outside then go in the room to wait some more…

Did you know that you can take the 1 minute 30 seconds to observe the enemies’ comp and change your build to counter it? Sigil/Rune changes? Maybe switch to a different class?

Did you know you can run over to the enemy base in that time and try to see which weapons and skills they’re running? Maybe let your team know?

Or maybe you can discuss the opening strat? 4 mid 1 home? 3 far 2 home? etc. etc.

or make a ready button where it should be – right before entering a match to make sure all 10 are there.

I think the main reason that exists is as a buffer for people who afk during queues. If the timer was reduced, I’d assume that more matches would at least start as 4v5s.
