Guild Wars 2

My reasons are as follows:

1. Playing it is boring to tears for me as I have done this sort of game style PVP matched for many many years, started with doom, duke nukem 3d, unreal, unreal tournament, them mmos caught up, went through the motions and stayed many years with wow while trying many others. All same things, always.

So it would have to be something truly innovative and unusual for me to get back into it, for example 20 vs 20 or even 40 cs 40 arena, Quake 2 style grapples, large ship to ship combat with people swinging on ropes, steering into the ground, etc.

2. Complete lack of impact on the rest of the game. Another words the time / effort is totally meaningless and unusable outside of the portal. The AP point awards for dailies / monthlies are a drop in the ocean of what is needed on this front.

There is simply no amount of pvp skins, boosters, finishers that will make me play this again until its worth my while. I need a somewhat meaningful gaming experience.

Never going to happen, go play wvw or buy another game

You play video games for rewards? not just for fun?
how about you play the game called life. it has the best rewards. real life money.

I really hate comments like oh don’t play games for rewards just for the fun of it. uhh no thats what sandboxs are for not in a competive enviroment. The reasons flocks of poeple quit is because lack of reward and how rank means nothing.

Competitive environments are for competition. I get that competition alone isn’t enough for the average MMO player though. In fact I’d say competition is the main reason pvp has a lower population than pve in every game. People just want their shiny pixels, they don’t want to vs anyone. Other games force them to vs people by making some of the pixels only available in pvp, but I’m pretty sure there are better solutions than that.
