I beat the game in PvP
neato idea, first time I’ve seen it

Not this season but last one, I was in mid tier Ruby and I as a solo-queuer got into a match with a four-man premade on either side. Basically two solo-queuers were the literal fifth wheel in that game. Was a complete blowout too btw :-)
so yeah, premades, team and such should get their own queue pls
The particularly annoying thing is, these sorts of complaints keep coming up, but they refuse to comment on any of it. They know that whatever they’re doing is not working for their players, and yet they can’t even offer us any hope that they recognize the issues and wish that they could do something about it.
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”
the queue time for team comp will be too high as there are not many team queue atm
maybe if they give more gold/prizes to team comp we will see more ppl try to group together in team Q
I had a game yesterday on my alt account in sapphire, 5 solo sapphire players versus a 3man stack and a 2 man stack with 3 ruby players and 2 sapphire players contained within. The match played out as expected.
We should take the league term lightly.
No league of team sports allows for individual players to join and form teams randomly, and premade teams in the same league.
Team leagues are for teams only.(Captain obvious reporting for duty).
I has been said that if they had separate queues for teams and solo players the wait times would sky rocket.
So of course solo players are in a sense sacrificed for the greater good.
In other words.Working as intended.
Your heroism and selflessness will be remembered always.

I would like to take this time to thank Anet for allowing pre-comp’d coordinated voice-comm groups to be roll against us Solo Queue players. It feels awesome that I can be helpful to others by sacrificing my body for their MMR. Now that I’ve found my purpose in life, it’s like I beat the game! Or did the game beat me?
After 3 seasons of complaints and arguments about fairness and balance, I’m not sure what else we can say about this. I fully understand that organized teams will always have an advantage. That’s how GvG was. That’s how Pro League is. Heck, that’s how all “team” based competition should be. But Solo Queuers who choose to play in randomly formed teams shouldn’t be cannon fodder for others’ MMR gains. This is truly a case where the rich get richer and the poor stays poor.
For season 4, please consider two separate queues. Solo Q and Comp’d Q. That would solve a lot of the issues. Allow organized teams to fight each other, and then you can get real feedback on how strong teams are. Real MMR scores for partied players can be calculated. Then future matches will be more even instead of complete wipeouts.
These suggestions have been brought forth constantly, but pvp STILL is the weakest link in the gw2 flagship. There is NOTHING competitive about these leagues, absolutely nothing at all.

I’ve been the 5th wheel in matches a few times.
Generally I get an invite to the team after the match :D
That exactly, split soloq and teamq ranked
I soloQ, although I do not like the current matching system, i also do not want a seperated queuing system, its going to single out the solo queuer. Which i do not think is good at all.
I would prefer to see a system that puts soloq and duoq in one system, and full premades in another. 3 and 4-man groups get pushed out by this I know, but I see that as an acceptable loss.
Pvp is now a pile of crap along with good for nothing Anet.
I know they reading the forum but the do nothing only moderate like hell and laugh at us. Worst bad-tempered, toxic company ever.
You cannot be more wrong. A-Net does not read forums, they watch popular streamers. Only when popular streamers complain that they take notice and will change anything. Gotta get that E-SPORTS awareness.
ofcourse organized teams will have an advantage. PvP was built for team playen though 99% of the pvpers are strangers to each other. If they had in match voice chat that the players could use or some sort of really good speech to text program built in then maybe their delusions would be understandable.
In game voice chat is nothing ground breaking, an MMORPg from 2009 had this for raids it should be something Anet could do, but well, they are Anet.
I dont think you should be playing many organied groups in the first place. Even if the team is premade, they are likely still just random people grouping together. I think there is a system preventing 5 man teams from playing PUGs isnt there?
Rather than separitng soloq and teamq wich probably increase even more q times ,why not implement a system thats not so punishing for pugs while fighting premades.
-If you as a pug lose to a premade you dont lose any pip.
-If you as a pug win against a premade you win an extra pip.
-If you as a premade lose against a pug lose an extra pip.
-If you as a premade win against a pug get only a pip regarding if you are on a win streak or not.
I dont think its a perfect solution ,but it will probably help a bit ,with that said i have not encountered many premades this season can not speak for others.

Most 4 man premades do NOT want to go 5 man premade so generally would not want to invite the “5th wheel”. Being in a 5 man premade means you will never face a team of full Solo Queuers and so will hurt your Q times and pip farming chances.
Which is why you see so many 4 man premades. Its not because they can’t find a 5th players. Its because they don’t want a 5th player.
Oh and yes +1 to solo Q and team Q separation.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. If you can’t separate the Sq from the Tq then those 3+ groups & prems need to have their advantage reduced to level the playing field.
A solo sacrifice and suffering abuse (at least until you eventually find other solos with whom you synergise with) isn’t what guild wars 2 should be about

The advantage is already there: Premades have an “MMR boost,” which means that the opposing team has a higher MMR. Pugs destroy premades all the time because they are frequently composed of better players. Why should I get an extra pip for a match I was already favored to win?
I begged for separating SoloQ from Team Q again but to no avail.
Basically the PvP Community is too small to make that happen, although Anet keeps marketing that the PvP Community is growing every year.
Which might be true but doesn’t mean it’s literally active.

They’ve experimented with it before. If nothing has changed, it’s still probably 2% per teammate.

maybe it needs to go to 3% or 3.5% per teammate.
“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "
Then premades would get obliterated and no one would want to queue together…
Then premades would get obliterated and no one would want to queue together…
If its currently 2% per team mate, and 5% was considered too much then why would 3% cause an obliteration of premades?
