I’m sorry for such a bad title but it’s the truth, today I gave sPvP another shot but somehow I cannot enjoy it anymore, I’m rank 32 played some sPvP and have enjoyed it but that was before I knew anything about it.
Capturing bases
Can someone please explain me why capturing bases is showing off skill ?
-Biggest zerg wins the base.
-Team with most bunkers gets the base.
Downed state
Really, after all this time the downed state is still in sPvP, I wonder why, seriously I can’t figure out why this is a good idea. If I get someone down, his friend comes along and revives his teammate the 1vs1 just got reversed in 2vs1, I will lose just because he had the luck someone came along and revived him.
Maps
Skyhammer,… yes ! I’m rushing in here but in all honesty who doesn’t find this just a frustrating map ? Okay, I like the jumping pads, fun stuff.. but an overpowered AOE mechanic that almost one shots players ? Glass that breaks and kills you (This is just a very casual fun map, it infact reminds me of the Counterstrike glasswar map, imagine this map in competitive play.)
These are just a few quick points that frustrate me while playing sPvP, most of it just feels like a game of luck (this is my personal opinion, you don’t need to agree).
And in most MMORPGs I have played, PvP should be about skill.
Does anyone feel the same way or am I seeing the mechanics from a wrong perspective ?
