I simply can’t win a single game, the majority of my games are complete blowout and always against premades, it’s extremely rare for me to face a pug team.

Tried most meta builds: shout warrior, hambow, LB ranger, survival ranger, d/d cele ele, double kit engi, turret engi, bunker guardian, staff ele cleric-celestial, s/d thief

Tried to hold points against multiple opponents for as long as possible and create superiority elsewhere…

Tried to back cap, tried to roam, tried to support team with hard ress-healing-condi removal, tried to peel for others, tried to burst as fast as I could…nothing of what I do matters.

At this point, I know that many people will start shouting" you’re the noob, the team lose ‘cause of you" and I say :"fair enough I’m a noob and I expect to have the lowest possible MMR in the game"

So I’m the worst player in the game, I lose 9 games out of 10…..and still face organized premades? Maybe somebody can clarify how the system works, because if I’m the worst player in the game I should not be facing premades, high MMR players all day long…

But but…who would the premades farm then?

You could always just do hotjoin where its extremely causal and since we can no longer queue for matches while playing hotjoins you wont face premades often.

Has it occured to you that the reason that your team loses may not be solely your fault?

That being said if your expecting people to be compassionate in the pvp aspect of any game, you are going to have a bad day. Shrug it off and be like " Thx BB, dinner tonight for 2? You bring the wine and I’ll bring the fine xoxoxo"

Actually, i noticed kind of same in my last games. I’m not losing all games( winning a few more than losing), but most are against premades.

But the problem was when i checked leaderboard, and i noticed some players i faced were in the first pages, meaning they were top 50 players. I’ve however only played 20 games so far, and i should be at 80%..

How can i be teamed with/against players on the front page…

Front page of LB =/= top players. There are some top players prob, but mostly farmers imo.

Same for me. In the last season I had 63% win rate with about 150 games played. This season , I lose most of my games ( negative win ratio). When I solo Q its always into premades or try hard turret farmers ( in that case I just go afk when I see 2+ turret engis) I’d rather afk than Player vs AI.

While team Q’ing I also didn’t have much luck because I think I’m getting bored of this game. After like 2 hours of playtime, I always ask myself why im still logged in even if the game bores me to death.

1. Upon joining on map scan the area, there are few clever tactics for each map and you can take advantage on

2. ask your team who is going close if nobody says anything you go. If by any chance some poor lost soul from your party runs with you to close, let him have it so he feels important and run mid he’s probably so confus and wants points.

3. Upon capturing run to mid. Allways mid. 2 controlling points is all your team needs to win

4. Stay alive as long as possible, sometimes people take for granted staying alive vs raw dmg

5. If you are being 2,3 on 1, yell halp on team chat and spam the red dot, more dots more dots more dots…ok stop dots. stay alive untill somebody runs and saves you, or at least stay alive on point as long as possible.

6. Never ever fight off cap point. Ever. Glue yourself there and die as a man on the point

7. If you are being chased by 2-3 people on the map while running somewhere, make sure you exploit that stupidity and stawl them as long as possible while your team mates cap some sweet spots

8. when defending close, if there is your team member fighting someone, help him and leave for mid as soon as opponent is down and your mate can finish him easily. Don’t worry, you won’t see your shiny finisher but you’ll still get the credit.

9. Losing 9 out of 10 is pretty bad, you might consider changing classes

10. call dem targets, its easyer to kill if yall gang up on one poor soul

Don’t practice 1v1 in conquest, if you are losing 1v1 when the point is being contested. i.e it is white just run away don’t get crippled just disengage, and try to make up the advantage/disadvantage somewhere else.

I lost about 18-19 out of the 20ish games we’ve played yesterday. I’ve never lost this much in a row.. Matchmaking pls y u do dis

Go celestial hero. Push far. 1v3 people and kite them. Hope your team wins 4v2. Good luck and godspeed!

The reason could be that the number of soloqers are declining? So, despite losing so many games, op still match up against premades. It has been mentioned that winning % is little more important in this season, so people form premades to try to win.

i have a feeling he just sux at playing the class, because you have bigger chance to get a precursor off mystic forge then to get 19 premade matches out of 20.

And that’s why I want solo arena back.
I am a very casual pvp player, I do not want team. I just want play 1 or 2 matches to complete daily and very basic achievements.
Btw, MMR does not work (never had).

This is horrible advice, especially if you are either a glass build or you’re against a class with a huge number of knockbacks (or both).

If you’re forced to defend a point as a mesmer, thief or power ranger and you have a tanky class incoming, you need to run off the point and force them to fight off-point before they reach it. This allows you to actually kite around without having to worry about standing on the point. Even if they ignore you and run straight for the point, you scored several free hits on them before the on-point fight.

Your personal opinion remains a personal opinion..but I face pre-made 19 times out of 20, this is a fact not an opinion unless I need to start posting 20 screenshots

You need to clarify, since you haven’t already:

Are you facing full premades? Partial? Do you ever have premades on your team?

I’m facing full premade, few times an entire guild, but most times I face organized pug team: a mesmer-thief-ele-guardian-engi or shout warrior is what I face 90% of the times.

You’re claiming to have somewhere between a 0-10% win rate on this post. Instead of sending screenshots of your games, can you give us shots of your pie chart/stats?

I for one am very curious to see if (and how much) you’re exaggerating.

Anyway, I get the feeling you aren’t asking for help so much as complaining, but if you’d like help, I’d suggest less multiclassing to begin with. Pick a good starter build (I suggest Hambow) and play 75-100 games on it.

As far as MMR goes, it’s not a perfect rating as it can be influenced by the players with whom you play – for example, if I’m always playing with a guildie who is better than me, my MMR may be artificially high and his artificially low, but those are usually negligible differences unless you only play in those situations.

The sad truth of the current system is that there aren’t enough players to guarantee good matches at all times of the day. If you typically play when few people are queueing, your matchups may be poor. The system will happily put you in matches where you are predicted to lose by 150+ points.

If we want better matchups, we need more PvP players. Go recruit!

Wait, how do you know that it’s a full premade if it isn’t a guild? The only way I know is to check if the enemies are in party, but it could still be a party of 2 and a second party of 3. Otherwise you might just be facing players who know what they’re doing and who got a good comp by chance.

You mention playing 10 different builds, exactly how many games have you tried with each build? Going into solo Q it’s not unexpected to hit a 4 or 5 game losing streak, if you combine that with playing badly then losing 9 out of 10 doesn’t surprise me at all. Meta builds only work if you know how to play them.

Most premades suck too. I’ve fought 4 premade teams today as pugs and won all of them. They can all be the same guild tag but suck or be a group of friends. The only serious premades I worry about are the 15 or so teams that play competitively, and I very rarely get them and most often as another pre myself. Idk I don’t understand how anets system works but I find it unlikely that you’re losing to good pre’s 19/20 times but moreso that you’re bad.

But if only 5-man and solo queues existed, it would take extremely short time to pick up your last couple players from lfg system that everyone would use. It worked perfectly in GW1, and I’m sure it would work even better too.

ANET! Do the right thing here and bring back the old system. We’ve given it plenty of time and it is still horrible. It makes PvP not fun.

The quality of my matches improves dramatically when queuing up with a few friends. Snag a few folks from one of your matches that know what is up. I ran into some premades today and it was brutal.

I never lose and i play solo. Most peoples problems are they don’t talk and when something goes wrong they blame someone. At the start of every game i call the shots and tell everyone where to go and what their thoughts are, 9/10 times this works and you get your team talking. I always type when i auto run saying ‘rotating far’ etc. The one time i find chat in game to be a positive add on to a game, not just a chat room.
