I feel like I've accomplished nothing
I know how it feels, my thief was already in full PvP Vigil Garb before i even joined the order in ‘PVE’
It took me some time to get used ot the idea that PvP and PvE are completely seperated and when i enter the mists it now feels like im sending my character into another dimension, wich i now think is really cool btw haha. Atleast i could show off my pvp titles while levelling to show that mny character was a seasoned vet dispite being low level :p
If pvp rewarded more gold as a reward, would this cure the problem. You would still be a low lvl with no maps unlocked, but you could buy decent gear as you lvl from the ah as well as top tier dyes?

to op i’m in the same boat you are but you do get one thing what the pve crowd doesnt have and thats a nice shiny title also bags you get from pvp wich isnt bad.. almost rank 40 hoping for a new set of bags before i drop kick this game out of the window.
Yeah, the system doesn’t work well because it seems to think everyone will PvE primarily, and then sPvP when they feel like it. I’m all for separation of PvP and PvE, but GW2 just takes it too far. They’re so disconnected that they may as well just be two different games, since nothing you do in one affects the other at all, with one exception: dyes. Which… you can’t even see in PvP.
You will be able too in a december update!
Honestly getting xp/gold in pvp would be great, because theres no way im going to get to level 80 without it. Been playing since betas and i cant stand the boring grind fest that is pve, my main is level 21. I just want to be level 80 so i can do the high level dungeons with my guild, i dont give 2 kitten about helping farmer jo with his chickens and cows.
I guess I understand the disconnect from PvE to PvP, but why can’t I take levels or gear into WvW?
Solution:
- Can’t I take my glory and spend it on some items that are usable in WvW?
- Can’t I earn a little bit of XP toward WvW levels at least? That way, even though I’ve spent 400 hours honing my skills, I don’t get leveled in WvW just because some guy has been playing that “correct” game for probably less time?

I imagine they don’t want PvP items translating into PvE because they want you to burn your gold off buying overpriced items directly from PvE, for PvE. The reverse, of course, is irrelevant since PvP has no true currency for items. In GW1, you could bring PvE gear into PvP. You could not take PvP gear into PvE.
Again… learn from GW1. Whoever made that game? Smart people. Learn from your betters.
They should have made it such that legendaries required a certain amount of paid tournament qualifier points or something.
would be amazing.
