I’ve been dealing with this cycle of wins and losses for 2 weeks and i’ve been stuck in t5 emerald the whole time. Why do i only get good teammates half the time?

well I have been playing reaper non stop for 2 weeks and still in sapphire
team composition more important

Reaper won’t guarantee you ruby. I’ve seen many poorly played reapers go down in a few seconds. I’m at the point, when I’d rather not have them on my team. The point is, you still need to make the effort to be a good player. Playing reaper alone won’t carry you.

But I will say, an extra reaper usually isn’t a liability unlike other professions. Scrappers are like this too.

I have the least exp on my necro. I craft leveled him to 80 and now i just use him to craft stuff to sell on TP, but maybe i’ll give it a try. Necro just feels so slow…

hmmm i thought reaper should be much easier to play than the old d/d cele ele.

yes, reapers who die very quickly without doing much damage are not very good.

but reaper if played properly, against not esl pro players maybe average players, can be very effective at putting them down and stomping / cleaving them.

positioning is very important i guess.
and kiting.

charging first into a 4 vs 4 at team fight usually means a dead reaper.

yeah, necro is slow, reaper can be slightly faster than core necro via knight shroud skill 2 but you need some life force to flash it for that 600 range leap.

look at the soul reaping, reaper, curses meta build for some reference on what traits to use, then tweak them a bit to suit your style, take wanderers pvp amulet, then go practice killing people in hotjoin.

life force management is important.
you need to know when to activate shroud form and went to deactivate to save it for later. deactivating it at the wrong time is errr fatal though.

in ranked, rotate between home and mid i guess if your team is holding those 2.

if i’m watching home and mid fight needs help, i go there a bit, toss some marks and then go back to watch home if they got things handled there. i guess i’m blessed with better team mates than my opponents.

what reaper build are you running? traits amulets skills etc.

yes, team compsition is important, but the ability of individual players matter too!

if the opponent team have a better team comp, but the players are not running very effective builds or have not very good mechanical skills, map awareness, etc.

our team may be just able to effectively divide them up and murder them more effectively.

the removal of many “bunker” amulets have made team kills more important.

Lol what I meant was that you have mentioned in several threads that u made ruby!

And I know individual skill is important but I have seen so many blow outs with multiple reapers

Reaper is not the difference in climbing up divisions in fact can be a liability in bad team composition

It’s a hot build, and its very bad super glassy. Spite blood reaper d/wh gs all wells and lich. Air hydro air fire. The damage is hysterical and one well placed wos with a Gravedigger using the quickness from chrono runes makes for some interesting plays. But it’s a crap build. Can’t 1v1 and any focus fire will drop you instantly.

My guess so far is I can still make it through ruby with this build. But that’s just due to the skill level in ruby not being great anyone can get there
