I thought there was a matchmaking system?
he was so good in the last game he played that the MM system thought he had a chance to win vs premade
-rank 41 guardian-
-Desolation EU-
Hmm how many honor do you need to get lvl 2? ^^ I guess not more than 5 matches..however both groups seem to be solo q.
I feel like there are too few players left, that matchmaking can work effectively. Of course anet will deny this fact <:
Hmm if it is not a premade then you would assume the matchmaking system would scramble these teams a few times to get a good average score.
The higher team all had pretty consistent tournament sets and weaponry, I was the only one in the lower side with any…
matchmaking only works if you have a large enough player base to support it.
Exactly and this isn’t hard queue it goes with what is available. Thats why they need to add things to draw in more casual players.

This seems to be the root of a lot of match making problems.
Actually we came to a conclusion.
When playing as a pre-made party.
The more we win. The more challenging the players we get to face.
So when we got to 20 win streak.
We actually got to face lvl 50’s and above after that.
So in solo que’s we actually think that it factors out personal rating. w/L records.
and on party rosters the parties actual performance.
So it might not matter whether what level you are.
The people assigned to you has a compatible rating or the que’d in playerbase might not be too big. even if they were lvl 40’s
Well its just a theory.
Getting culling even in spvp -_- Hopefully the anti culling patch will make pvp more attractive.
At the end of the day, pvp is always less attractive to most people than pve, cooperating is fun :p
Only solution is add some staring position “boost” depend on current rank. Its bit unfair but its still better than ranks 9000 kitten ranks 1

Its not so hard to make a MMR even when you are making premades facing solo q..When you lose to an opposite soloq team you lose 40 points (example) and when you win 40 points again. But when you lose to a premade you lose 10 points (or less depending on the difference in points,if the match ends 450-500 for the premabe that means that the soloqers did a great effort against a premade with teamspeak and better communication, and its not a game like LoL where you can “carry” your team) but if a soloq team wins against a premade they deserve a great reward like 80 points.
Just use logic its not so hard. Its like: effort/reward=1
