I think I have lost my mind after this match. I am going to lie down now and hopefully someone can still wake me up…unless I am as dead as this PvP scene.

is this suppose to be impressive?

not to be that guy. But am I missing some bigger picture here? I’m asking this as a legit question here.

We all know this.

The losing team’s overall score is higher. You get points by killing players and capturing points and objectives. So how did Blue lose when it appears that they got more kills and captured more points? Did red get two artifacts at the end of the game or did you suddenly snowball? There are only a few situations in which a team that was playing better than the other can lose, and all of them result from being outplayed in some way.

so you are wondering how your team can individually out score the other team and have very impressive damage stats to boot and still lose? probably dominated on point battles and out rotated the other team too i am guessing? yeah, happens to teams once in awhile, but it does leave one scratching his head in bewilderment because you can’t seem to put your finger on what you might have done differently.

Since we’re guessing… I’d say that OP feels he outperformed most everyone, including his teammates. The individual scores include times where one person damaged an enemy <15s before they died, so it’s possible that OP did most of the heavy lifting in fights and the teammates’ scores benefited simply from being in the right place at the right time. Either way, the fact that OP had 26 kills shows yet again how unbalanced matchmaking is. In a balanced match there wouldn’t be time for all those kills since decent enemies wouldn’t be dying in 5 seconds. The damage is high but I’ve done higher on power rev, meta scrapper, and Meditrapper. This doesn’t mean necro damage is too high, it just means OP cleaved a lot.

I want to elaborate on the importance of map awareness…but that’s probably more than required.

What does the OP not understand?

1rst. This is Unranked. Unranked is not a reference.
2nd. If Grim Carnage think points matter that much, it just say everything to his real understanding of PVP.
3rd. Wasting 10-20 sec on cleaving downed players and doing overnumbered fight on 1 cap point always causes this number.
4th. Avoid posting match results that only embarrass yourself.

chill, this is unranked, there are matches you just cannot win as solo players.
Even in ranked as solo, there are just matches YOU CANT WIN.
No need to make a topic for this.

Still posting a screen and talking about total of kills and point is what bad players do.

I’ve been had \o/ I didn’t take pictures during the PvP seasons so, I got nothing to match that picture at the moment. I’ll make sure to do it if there is another PvP season.

Nope that isn’t true. I remember why I didn’t care to take pictures during those ranked seasons. They were bad anyways so I felt it was pointless since, other players were already posting pics about how bad it is. I didn’t add onto it with other players like I should have. Pictures and posts is as good as we are going to get to show Anet that this just isn’t right. I hate Anet so bad. If I have to blow up every now and then so be it.

Had such a match yesterday. We lost despite i won nearly all fights. One was a 1:3 where i dowend 2 so our +1 could mop up after i went down, and i rotated not to leave points decaped as much as i could …. Still lost with a bunch of top scores. Oponent managed a better rotation and won despite loosing 80% of the fights. You can´t carry if your team doesn´t rotate well and this happens with uncoordinated random players. It was one of the matches where the lowest score on our side was higher then the top score of the oposing team …. And we lost by about 50 points ….

ikr, it’s stupid that there still are power nec’s LUL. If you’re playing an intentionally bad build, why are u complaining about anything in the first place.

it is very simple, zerking, viewing the other team points the two that score the high probably was thief mesmer caping points while the other players get continuosly zerked by the entire losing team, result red had alwais 2 points and sometimes a tricap, and points from blue are only from kills

Unranked match results are not representative because there is no matchmaking present there at the moment – just starting players, multi-legends – all tossend into the same pot and “matched”, so that numbers are irrelevant.

Ranked offseason doesn’t have much to give either but still little better though because there is at least a resemblance of matchmaking there.

Look at his damage received and you’ll see. Pretty easy to throw wells on point and rack up high damage when the enemy team doesn’t bother to focus down the Necro. Looks like that match had a bunch of mindless zerg fights but red team knew that you need to hold points to win and out-rotated blue team while red was trying to 5v4 mid.

This is Conquest not Deathmatch. You win if you have many Cap-Points, not if you kill many enemies.

Maybe you should review the strategy for conquest maps. People erroneously think that spvp is all about killing enemies. You get more points for holding points than kills. Maybe you guys just zerged mid and scored lots of kills but the enemy held the sides. Just because your opponents outmaneuver you doesn’t mean the game is broken.

I’ve had plenty of wins where my individual score is low but I probably contributed the most by locking down a point.

Damage received say it all nothing to see here. It was a match of low skill. I usually get 400k to 1m incoming damage in ranked solo q vs good players.

If i get 800k-1m incoming damage thats when i have useless loser pug team that don’t know what is teamplay or help others and im totally alone trying to survive all time focus.

I mean I could understand the point capture being only 1 since you generally don’t wanna double cap but yeah how do you manage 0 defend??? Like that just screams being outrotated hardcore.

And when we tell other players that personal score means kitten in PvP they don’t understand.

it’s not necessarily true that individual score or stats do not mean anything. if you have a team mate that has a terribly low score and your team wins because the other team kept focusing on him, i can see that. on the other hand, if you have a team mate that scores badly and your team loses then he is usually dubbed “trash” or a "noob’ and the like. why, because he didn’t make an individual contribution and his score, and consequently the team’s score, reflects that. someone’s personal statistics do not tell an entire story, true enough, but it does tell a part of the story that should not to be divorced from the overall context of a match. every one seems to forget that when you keep wiping an enemy team (or winning a lot of individual battles), the enemy can neither rotate well (they are defeated and you rotate to take advantage of their absence) nor can they cap (they are defeated, again taking advantage of their absence) and both individual and corporate scores will reflect that you are winning on those fronts. so, one can not necessarily say personal score matters not, it may not tell the whole story but it can tell you who is doing what and how well he/she is doing it.
