I was told this build is bad for team queue. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Just try it It’s pretty good but overall shatter is better in a teamfight.

It honestly not a very good team build. It is a great build for 1v1’s or roaming in wvw, but i would look for a build more oriented towards team play if you want to use it in team or solo queue.

Consider trying a staff greatsword shatter build, or a lockdown build.

can you link a lockdown build? is that just interrupts with sword/pistol?

The poster is right in that it’s the most viable condition spec in sPvP. However, it has severe weaknesses and it simultaneously takes a lot of game/map knowledge to use correctly while not really teaching you a lot about how to play Mes. It’s better than stealth at least.

It will never kill anything in a team fight due to you relying on iDuelist to condi spike. You might be able to kill things 1v1 BUT they will need to choose to stay and die – they won’t or they’ll ask for help and you won’t be fast enough to kill them before help arrives.

I use a modified version of that build for Hotjoin. It may not be the best build, but it’s fun, and it works for me.
