Guild Wars 2

At this point im just blown away on how they havnt added one single thing to give pvpers a reason to pvp…

Im almost certain ANet has abandoned the idea of esports and with NA being completely dead competitive wise and the only thing i ever see bringing this game back would be a HUGE cash prize tourny at the end of the year and when i say huge i mean something around 50k yearly tournaments.

Lets face it tho Anet has shown they dont put money into pvp and i think we can all agree that they would never do something like this.. but hey a man can dream

This is a MMORPG, this is Guild Wars 2… Most MMORPGS aren’t pvp heavy. Guild Wars 2 is no different than the rest of the MMORPGs out there. Its just the newest thing out right now.

Seriously should put your foot in your mouth, if you honestly think GW2 is like all the other MMORPGs out there you are just not playing it.

Most casual players have hit endgame a few months ago and the majority refuse to go to spvp simply because as the op said…lack of incentive.

These leaderboards mean nothing without a solo que, ranking system show that you gring / not shows your skill, no way to show off in spvp besides grinding

Ok well I take it back GW2 isn’t like every other MMORPG because there are no raids, and no raid gear.

However GW2 has WvW. Pretty much it.

I would like more incentive pvp wise other than farm glory and get gear, which some gear in pve isn’t obtainable in PvP. Like this armor set http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Masquerade_armor

I’m having fun, good enough for me. When I won’t have fun anymore, I’ll leave for something else, there is plenty out there.

I, personally, would love 2 things: more solo queue gameplay support, new maps and modes – siege (one side attacking other defending then flip), 3v3v3

lol, cute post. If your not happy with the game then leave. There is plenty of incentive for the players that believe the game will be an eSport. Basically just keep playing. It’s a game.

If you honestly want to sit back and say this game will have no future until a 50k cash prize tournament, you haven’t been around eSports for awhile. Most huge cash prizes/premier are 100k or bust, e.g IPL (until Blizzard bought them out).

If you want this game to succeed then help it do just that, create a team in NA, and compete. Don’t pout around like it’s all ANets fault NA doesn’t want to make teams, and most of the players are too timid.

It’s either the competition or the killing for pvpers. The rest is fluff. Sure, I’d like to be able to win gems again, but that’s not why I play.
