You’ve got a finisher he will not have for many months.

You’ll get into good teams, instead of crappy ones, by account of your experience. He’ll have to wing it with other lesser experienced people.

I don’t get people who complain about not being rewarded for playing a lot. The playing itself should be a reward. You know how to play better than him, what more do you want?

If he wants to get better, he’ll have to play as much as you. If you want an icy dragon sword, all it takes you is a week of farming PvE, and you’ll have enough gold to make it.

If you ask me, he’s got the crappier deal.

I agree the way the PvP reward system works is completely dependent on RNG and there should be a clearer system of rewarding veterans. However, Zenith has a point. Veteran players probably have enough glory/gold to craft one if they wanted to.

Grats on a ‘well earned’ reward that not too long ago pvpers who played before rank50+ glory vendors were around could only dream of. Now a rank whatever can just farm glory and get lucky on their dragon token crafting.

I think what would annoy pvp veterans is things like this were probably – in the mind of anet – an elite achievement and something to grind for (despite it taking a LONG LONG time). Now pretty much anyone can get higher level items with marginal pvp experience to show for it.

If they all of a sudden decided to give say rank 60’s a chance to get pve legendaries in the same style that people can craft dragon token items then I’m sure pver’s would complain. Granted its not the same level of item/prestige but the concept is the same.

U buy Nigtmare/T3 cult. Salvage. Hope fro dragon token. When U got it → MF → Powder, silver, dragon token, sword token → U wish for luck and gettin it.

Buy the nightmare box off the glory vendor. Salvage everything. Use a sliver as the recipe and hope for a crit.

Better to turn your glory to gold and wait till the next rewards patch that removes glory. Most pve items are a fraction of the cost that it takes to get the pvp item outside of your rank.

I also have a feeling that pvp exclusive rewards will be tied to the new ladder system, and hopefully exclusive rewards for ranks as well. Rng will most likely return after the removal of crafting as magic find will play a role (+1 to pve crowd).

Personally, I keep meaning to work in pve land to up my magic find and gold at a faster rate than I would in pvp as the only plus to playing pvp in this transition is for the rank points.

Thanks guys! Yea I’m Rank 29 but, Also I’m only level 37 which I got those levels from buying the exp books from PvP. So yes I only PvP, I’ve only been back to GW2 for about a month now so that explains why I’m just 29. Alright I had no idea if i was first or not and I’m not first but, I’m definitely in a very small group that have it and I’m happy I got it. See you all in PvP ;D!

I just got NO dragon tokens from six nightmare armor pieces. What a waste of 40 000 gloryand 20 gold…

I still have Jormag’s Breath on my warrior, made it year ago. Was pretty neat achievment, back when Corrupted Lodestone was like 2g ;p

I spent 300k glory trying to create a frozen scepter/staff to use on my necro.

Needless to say lots of gold, glory and tier 2 armour sets [but very few phoenix tokens] later I managed the staff, still trying for scepter.

Meh. IDS was a nice skin in GW1. It’s not on my list.
