Idea, decrease match length

The match length is fine and doesn’t need changing. There is so much more that could be changed instead.
Matches are not determined at the start at all. 70% of my games in gold it’s pretty close until the end.
I don’t see it helping much at all but I do see it making games feel too short. The current length of a pvp game is pretty much the same as matches in other games.
How do you propose to shorten it?
Reduce points neccessary to reach? They will need to balance out point based secondary objects (lord/beasts), as well as timing of buffs in temple etc.
Faster Ticks? Points per tick?
I don’t think there’s an issue discussing this, in fact, I welcome this type of thread over all the cries of “X Class is OP, Plz Nerf” ( It probably wouldn’t be as annoying if those making the complaintes presented it better, example:“I’m having trouble fighting X, how should I deal with this as Y”).
Back to the the thread though, matches are already 15 minutes max, average probably sub 10 minutes.
What do you think is a better target range? Queue times have gotten better this season, but I imagine people would generally like to keep a healthy match time : queue time ratio.
If you are talking about simply adding an early termination feature, I don’t know if that is completely healthy for the game, as some people might just give up far too early/become uncooperative if people don’t agree to surrender anyways. Not sure if those games would really be an issue, since that type of player would not be contributing much to a winning game scenario anyways.
It’s worth talking about though.

I think we could reduce the score limit a little bit and reduce the match time. Maybe to 400 and 10 minutes. This might be a bit odd but I think it could be worth testing. Or, even easier, we could give more points for a kill over the normal five. That would shorten up the matches quite a bit and be more of a comeback in the event that a match was getting out of hand.
@ The matches aren’t determined at start comment, judging by the posts on the forums, it appears most of the playerbase is experience games where it is a complete snowball in either direction.
@The comment about the early termination feature, I don’t think the devs should give the players the ability to end the game early, that opens up an avenue for abuse by the players.

Nope sorry, but I usually loose first fights, and my 70% of wins is comeback. Meaby ppl in gold or lower just resign to play. But in P2 its not happen and it’s really exciting moments.
So.. I start play scrapper. "
I disagree, yesterday i was in a match where we got out played most of the match. Score is like 475-375 on forest.
Both beast are up and there thief goes for our beast and our DH stole it. We decapped there mid while this happened and i ran far and 2 of there players where killing beast.
I playing ele didnt bother and just went to decap there far, the same DH ran from one beast to the other and stole that.
We ended up getting the decap and capped the other 2 points. We won, 501-487.
It was funny because 3 of us were talking negatively in team chat to each other but no one quit and we got the win.
This suggestion is horrible.
Comebacks technically should never happen. if one team is stronger than the other there is no comeback > u just keep getting farmed until they reach 500 points.
Comebacks only happen when they make several mistakes, or have DCs, so yea the match is decided within the first few mins of the game about 80% of the time

the match is only determined int he first few fights when people give up because of it, comebacks are possible in the majority of games if you are willing to work together and adjust strategies on the fly…
I actually think end score shood be increased to 1000 but time shood be left same it would make some maps more interesting like legacy were if you kill loRd would not mean soo much at midagame and games would end with time not endscore making you calculate more and gives more chance to comeback
So many matches are decided in the last few minutes(if not seconds) that this just sounds ridiculous. To me this sounds like “Decrease match length so I can grind my ascended gear faster!”

Lol anyone who knew me back in the day when I was super active knows I spent 99.9% of my time in PvP, so why would I need PvE gear?
Anyways, back to the point, if any given player recorded the matches that they played then we would most likely see that one team has the obvious advantage (unless each team has five bunkers)
