Hi people,

Henry here, how we all doing?

Now down to business:

I had a really good idea of how to give elementalist some insane buffs in the same way as necro has been buffed. Here is my idea:

- Make all cantrips have 25% higher cool downs
- Add a grandmaster trait to the arcane line (to compete with evasive arcana)
- Grandmaster trait called “Amazing idea – reduce cooldown of all cantrips by 33%, cantrips now grant you conditions on use”
- The cantrip heal should give 10 stacks of vuln, lightning flash should give chill, Armour of earth should give blind, Cleansing fire should give 3 stacks of burning

This is an awesome buff to ele. They get the counterplay of getting reduced cooldown with the give of having shorter cds.

Thoughts on my idea?

I ran it past a ton of players and they all thought it was a pretty OP idea.

Remove cooldowns from the class! Make everything insta and breakstun
All water skills should remove 2 condis each too, because ele doesn’t have enough sustain

The spite is real lol, can’t say I blame you though, corruption skills definitely seem to have been screwed.

This is especially hurtful as it shows a clear double-standard. Increasing the CD is one thing (although not really necessary), but strengthening the negative self-impacts for necro at the same time they removed them from all other similar skills (all the quickness skills) is honestly just silly. Also, conditioning yourself seems like a Mallyx Rev. thing now anyway, which makes sense given the high access to resistance and positive benefits of having condis there.

Unless they are going to introduce traits like “vulnerability now REDUCES incoming damage after using a corruption skill,” it doesn’t make sense.

Also, yea, ele sustain is pretty dumb with un-nerfed cleansing wave and having an extra tree. There are a lot of crappy aspects of eles (like many useless utils and weapon skills) that need buffing/fixing, but the sustain of water-arcana could use a bit of a shave for sure.
