In Conquest, it’s likely:
1 Reaper (merc amu signet necro)
2 Scrapper (paladin or marauder)
2 Rev (one viper, one zerker)
In Stronghold, I’d probably go for 1 less rev (the zerker isn’t that good as viper in stronghold IMHO) and add another reaper or maybe a druid.

you are going to want a druid, a scrapper and a rev. druid has the team support, scrapper is the ultra bruiser, and rev has dat deeps bbby.
I’d want to see actually tournaments with good players in teams before I made a decision for the other two slots. we haven’t seen how the new meta has really evolved, as we have only the cess pool of unranked currently.
Theif seems like a must. it has a strong tactical role and dominates necros. DH eats thieves up, so perhaps that could be a fith to counter the theif. ah, but perhaps you want to use portals and you’ve come up with a good mesmer build. maybe take a mesmer? it’s player a build dependant I feel, and time will tell.
I feel the idiotic pro solo que attitude holds this game back a lot. so many builds are just copied off pros, or are just selfish builds for solo queue. people are not making teams and builds that feed and synergise of each other. there is a lot of unrealised potential.
I come from a wvw background and there are a lot of very odd builds that do incredibly well there. my pal has a DH condi build that does a kittened amount of aoe condi damage. it has a lot of weird synergy and ive never seen the like, had to see it in action to even believe it. I’m sure there are a lot more weird builds out there that rock.

1 reaper, 1 scrapper, 1 druid.
The other 2 can be a lot of different choices. Thief will be a great addition. Revs are also pretty good. You can also go for additional scrapper/reaper/druid.
Two rezzing druids, 1 scrapper, 1 thief, 1 reaper.
Dont know anything about stronghold.
In conquest it would be something like:
- Necro
- Thief
- Scrapper
- Revenant
- Druid
Watch:
1-2 druids
1-2 rev
1 reaper
1 scrapper
Double up on either druid or rev and win.
the other classes aren’t very good right now.
So basically all reapers, scrappers, and druids? I’ve played auramancer with quite a bit of success.
Since you cant stack classes in the new tournament format to prevent having 4 revenants on each game like in the upcoming finals the ideal setup is:
Revenant
Reaper
Druid
Scrapper
X (Dragonhunter/daredevil/Ele)
didnt try warrior and mesmer yet, but they only have to compete with the low tier classes so there is always hope with this new rule set now.

Depends of builds and roles, stacking druids is a good option i guess.

I’m really curious if we will see rezzing druids for teamfights; I’d really like to see more druids used in teamfights and the new rezzes might do the trick. But Druid still has a ton of disadvantages in teamfights:
- Pets deal much less dps in teamfights: Bristle can be LoS’d or bodyblocked much easier than when you are alone and want to hold a point. Also, there might be projectile absorbs/deflects. The Smokescale will also have it’s dmg spread out over multiple targets.
- Pets can actually be focused down pretty easily in teamfights, which will hurt the common druid-builds a lot, since they rely on pet-swapping and the dps of the pets to a large degree.
But maybe the decent support, CC and the new rezzing might actually make them viable in teamfights.
