These ideas are based on GW1 with the mechanics and new game modes and secondary objects of GW2. It would also have some things for the GW1 veterans, see below

Elimination:
First team to annihilate the opponent and kill their priest wins. Priests can resurrect people after every 1 min.

Conquest:
Simple point capture.

Relic run:
You have to grab a relic in the middle of the map and bring it back to your altar. Goal: 5 relics captured.

Ascending:
This map would have 3 levels entirery made out of bridges inside of a dome, crossing all over the place. There are 5 points to commune with, 2 at the upper, 1 at the middle and 2 at the level below. From the top level you could jump down to the middle or the level under if you want to be fast, or you could use the stairs for the safe way. This way the falling damage trait would make sense. If you commune and succeed, you earn 1 point for your team.
The goal is to get 10. The commune objects would spawn after one disappeared due to communing, anywhere in the 5 spots. Communing takes 5 seconds. The map would always have 2 objects spawned.

Portal run:
Here would be random spawning rifts all over the map. If you commune with one such point for 5 seconds, you get teleported out of the map, from where you can still see the fight but you can’t join back. The goal is to get everyone of your team teleported out. If a team has their last person in, the communing wouldn’t be interrupted by damage.

1v1:
Everyone would get one opponent in an arena style combat, while his party is watching from above. The the team winning more 1v1 battles will have the final victory. If a duel is a draw, the one dealing the most damage wins. Only one 1v1 would go on at a time, so others could watch, and that would pump some adrenalin for everyone.

Obelisk capture:
You have to carry a flag to an obelisk. There are 3 obelisks. If you capture an obelisk, enemies can overwrite that with their flag. If your team manages to capture all the 3, you win. If after 10 mins there’s no winner, the team controlling the most wins. If still a draw, last team standing wins.

Locked deathmatch
Elite skills are locked. Communing points spawn across the map, if you commune with one for 5 seconds, your can use your elite skill, and also recharges if it was on CD. This would bring in a new tactic, for example, having dedicated elite skill users (whit the most useful skill for the team) while the rest is shielding them.

Hall Of Heroes:
3 teams woul fight here, like in GW1, sometimes with different game modes. Either:

1. King of the hill: help the ghostly hero capture the altar. The hero would have 3 times the health of Svanir. Channeling the skill that captures it when he is near takes 5 seconds and can be interrupted. Once captured, 1 point is awarded for the team every 20 seconds. Goal: 20 or 30 points.

2. Relic run: escort relic runners from your base to the altar. Relic runners are ghostly NPCs of the ones that fought there 250 years ago. Veterans would love that Runners can be slowed/hastened, but cannot be killed.

The winner team in the Hall would get a chest, just like in GW1. Chest could drop dyes, weapon and armor skins, a new finisher, gold, pvp materials, new minipets (like relic Runner, Ghostly hero). So Pvp players could make some money too.

What we want is Heroes’ Ascent! and without that kitten asura technology. Just pure magic, because that place had an aura. And not an Asura! >_>

How do you respond to requiring one or more eles on a team in order to prepare for relic run?

RTL and teleports would make you drop it.

Or make it so there is no linear path of more than a 300-600 units without an obstruction. If you try to RtL in that situation RtL=Stun=Fail.

Perhaps a platform jump to the objective point?

Nice ideas, but no way to implement it. We are waiting months for custom arenas….things like HA would take years, sadly …

Many players put HA on their top 3 whislist nowadays, so I give this topic another try.

Any ideas from you guys on how could we bring back HA?
