If all of ANet had but a single neck...
Yes losing streaks only happen due to matchmaking flaws.
Always others to blame…its kinda nice; bit like a warm blanket.

A good match making would have a 50/50 splits, long losing streaks with a win every now and then isn’t a good system. Being in one kitten group after the other, having people in ruby that don’t know how to play, being put into groups with afkers, or 4-5 necros / dh. That isn’t good matchmaking system.

Nah i sympathize with you: matchmaking is keeping you down.
You had quite a few matches in that defeat streak that were under 100 points.
Honestly, I know it kind of sucks being on the brink of hitting Diamond, but you had some close matches, that’s the kind of thing you should be thankful for.
That 500-490 I would say was probably down to 2 kills rather than rotations. I crave those matches in Legend.

Yes but it’s an ironically worded get good post.
What I don’t get is, if I really am so kitten (and fine lets accept that) why did I start off the day with 20 pip in ruby and now end with less than 10? Why did I even get into ruby? If I’m so kitten then I shouldn’t have been able to get past amber or emerald.
My success in pvp is inconsistent. The quality of my teammates and my opponents can drastically vary and is wholly dependent on factors outside of my control. Now sure more player over weekends etc. but a good matchmaking system would either properly balance the teams or have a better mechanism for tracking performance i.e. if I’m kitten then don’t let me get to ruby to begin with and the same for others. I don’t mind waiting in a longer queue if it means being put in a match were it doesn’t feel useless. I’m honestly feeling like ANet should just add a GG-button. God knows I’ve had enough teammates go “kitten team, I’m going to afk” so it’s honestly not just me. At least then I’d not have to slog through a unwinnable match.
If it was 1 win, 1 loss, or even 2 or 3 loses followed by 2 or 3 loses that would be fine. That would be balanced. It means I’m being put up against teams of similar skill and it’s a coin toss as to who wins. But that’s not what I’m seeing. I’m seeing these 5-6 game losing streaks with maybe a win or two in the middle.
Ruby is the first real hurdle that people have, everhtjing else has too many checkpoints and can be grinded out of everyone and their mother are in ruby thanks to that.
On the other hand winstreaking through the lower divs could easily boost you all the way to legend if you are lucky enough.
In short stop trying to correlate league to skill it just isn’t.
You could be a typical ruby baddie, or you could just be in a badluck run, who knowz
