Anet would have to look at the numbers because there are exchange rates for gold and gems should be equally fair to obtain for PvE and PvP but that’s actually a very good idea I’d say.
You’d in essence have to remove hotjoin then, for obvious reasons.

Absolutely no problem with that..hotjoin is just a freakin’ useless mess already, and i think everyone would happily trade hotjoins for glory<->gems trader
I’d prefer earning gems by winning paid tournaments, like it was before, instead of buying them for glory, but yes, we need a way to buy gems.

They stated that paids will never come back…so i already discarded this option
The thing is my friends that have been playing pve since release, right now can afford to buy 4.000-20.000 gems. And for me, that I have been playing pvp only its impossible to have an arena for more than 1 week

I’ve something like…maybe…40-50 golds, almost only pvp since release…and this is the reward: If you want to play CA you have to pay golds you don’t have if you play pvp only…or pay cash…gj anet…gj…keep making ppl who like pvp hate it…we just earned this worthless glory and we already have all this crappy stuff from those chests then what? Still 400+k glory and nothing to do with…

After burning way too much money on my, now retired, mesmer to bring her to r400 cook, I am currently sitting on my whooping 10g (almost!). I wouldn’t mind pve grinding (I did a lot of that on GW1, and enjoyed it quite a lot too), but its so mind-bogglingly boring and annoying that I just cba.
