If you could change one thing what would it be?
We all know we have something particular about sPVP that troubles are sweet little hearts. What is your number one issue and how would you change it?
Downed states. I would like to see two abilities a spam attack and a self-heal (1 and 4 basically), nothing else, and the bleed-out should be faster. I do like the idea of a downed state for tournaments so I wouldn’t remove it entirely.
Ya, I personally do not like downed states. As an elementalists I would like to at least have a button to just instantly die and release. I’ve never been the type to try to delay the inevitable.
Happy with downed state, happy about bleed out levels, but if I could change one thing (and it wasn’t something obvious like spectator mode) then I would say
Balancing Downed States.

delete all minions. illusions, pets… in spvp
Bringing warrior, necro, ranger and ele up to par where guard/thief/mesmer/engi are at for TPvP.

thats the biggest one for me, actually gamebreaking. rest is not as important and i have plenty time for solving other issues.

Double or triple all the Mesmer cooldowns.

WvW is no good for me so its just spvp and its just 4 map rotation and thats it?
This is the biggest problem, its just 4 maps thats all thats going on in all of gw2 pvp….
How about in order to create reward a tiered pvp content unlocker so once you reach say lvl 20 you unlock arenas and then once you reach 40 you unlock CTF and so on and so on.
Remove quickness/Haste/Time warp.
Remove the environmental crap from tPvP, like the Svanir, the Lord, and the Trebuchet. People have already figured out how to gank the monsters in the first map, when to kill the Lord in the second map (All you need is 300-350 points and then the whole team rushes Lord), and the obvious abuse of the Trebuchet with Teleport.
Completely unnecessary, from a competitive aspect.
SPvP where to begin…
1. Queuing for SPvP needs to be fixed. Currently you enter into a battleground/scenario almost instantly. The match starts withing 2 minutes and the two teams in the match up aren’t even balanced or filled. Matches should not be starting until there are 16 players matched up.
2. There needs to be a penalty for battleground/scenario hopping. Team match ups are already poorly balanced. It makes it worse when players are entering into the match and then leaving instantly because they were put onto the losing team that probably had 1 or 2 less players from the beginning of the match due to ArenaNets inability to properly create a queue system.
3. SPvP auto-balancing is terrible. It needs removed. You don’t pull a player from the winning side and place them on the losing side due to players leaving the battleground/scenario. It is totally and completely unfair and SPvP isn’t set up for come backs because it requires the losing to to hold all 3 points in order to gain points and keep the enemy team from gaining any.
4. SPvP should reshuffle teams. Once the match is over you should be prompted to requeue for another battleground/scenario or leave and enter the mists. You should not be placed with the same team of players against the same team of players. If you have a totally unbalanced match and the enemy team wins by a 350 point landslide how is it fair or fun to put that player against the same team?
5. Battleground/scenarios need to be altered so that matches are not always landslides. I have run into way too many matches where one team completely dominates and not even due to player skill (which apparently is the whole point of SPvP) but due to the 4 other points mentioned. Players dodging matches due to landslides, players dodging due to unbalanced teams, players dodging after being autobalanced.
ArenaNet has done a very poor job with SPvP and the best part about all of this was that when I did the Beta and tried to submit this feedback the kill spam on the right side of the screen at the end of a match would cover the submit button on the feedback pop up screen and prevented me and probably many others from being able to submit any feedback.
get rid of all the WoW kiddies who jujst wanna roflstomp and not team play and who are asking for gear set to grind out so they can be even more l33t and turn it from something fun into a full time job.
Remove mesmers.
I think haste/quickness abilities need to be nerfed to 50% bonus speed instead of 100%.
Make them last a little longer to compensate.

Funny thing is WoW players are actually good at pvp. Conquest is not even a good way to determine skill period.
