If they pulled their living world team for 1 month to come to PvP, then PvP would be a great place.

Unfortunately, we have a skeleton crew implementing changes that get limited testing by their small QA team and they hit the live servers. Then that same small dev team then spends their time fixing the bugs of the last patch instead of creating new content, because so much stuff is broken.

Vicious cycle.

In reality, I just wish the PvP portion got as much attention as a free game like LoL puts toward their game.

They even got a 1v1 tournament dueling arena in this past update.

Imagine if for 1 month we had a 1v1 dueling arena while other players could literally watch us fight in a dome.

For those of you who are mind-blown by hearing this, I am not even kidding, there’s literally a 1vAI dueling arena for prizes in the current living world update. It happens in a clear dome where your friends and anyone can literally watch you battle it out. Basically 1v1 with unlimited spectators for PvE.

You know… not like the PvP community has been asking for that for like the past YEAR..

Imagine if they spent that much time on anything else in the game.. omg..

Imagine if they worked on fostering a casual pvp playerbase THEN slowly turned the game into an esports instead of the other way around.

Yep. Make a super fun game, then once you have a crazy amount of dedicated players, turn it into a competitive scene.

Imagine the ammount of overhaul this game would need too really become competitive/skill-based and realize they are not gonna waste that many resources into that.

This is what i thought the moment i entered the arena against the AI the first time…

Would it be that bad of an idea to just add those arenas to the mists for people that challenge each other to duels?
I mean, they even managed to make a queue system for the AI arenas so that people only have to wait till a arena is free.

Imagine if the best specs didn’t consistently revolve around AI mechanics.

Imagine if they banned asuras so you could actually see anything which goes on in a battle.

Imagine if they reduced the spammy nature of the game by reducing damage, condition application, condition cleansing and evasion.

Imagine if they had people who can test the game…I knew after 30 seconds of playing with the dhuumfire patch that necro was just going to be OP and so was spirit ranger and sword thief.

Imagine if they gave variety to the game with new game modes.

Imagine if it didnt take them 1 year after release to add random map rotation which should be in the game at release.

Imagine if the whole community hasn’t quit already.

Imagine if they had the creativity and design skills to create a game not based on spam and repetitive actions.

Yeh, this game will never make it to being good for pvp. It is almost impossible. If they started moving in the right direction then at the current speed maybe 2016 it will be a good game? But they aren’t even moving in the right direction so…..the game is actually getting worse.
