Sign-ups for the Tournament of Glory will close at MIDNIGHT PDT tomorrow, Friday, September 5, 2014. Be sure to sign up your team before then if you plan on playing in the tournament.

You will still be able to change your roster after tomorrow, as both DPS and MP are accepting roster changes up until 24 hours before the tournament.

Sign ups are now CLOSED. We will be scanning through the rosters to make sure there are no duplicate sign ups, etc. today. Teams can expect an email if we have any questions/concerns with your rosters at this time.

Once we have clarified any glaring roster concerns, Ill be contacting teams individually about their assigned date of play.

Second, out of curiosity how are you guys deciding the seeding? Completely random? Seeding only a couple teams per day or are you going to have some sort of method? I am just very curious as to how that aspect plays out—even a very general answer would suffice.

Adding on to this, EU Teams will be contacted on Monday about RSVPing for the event. Captains please ensure to check emails as we should have them out by end of day PDT on Monday.

Answering the above question, EU teams will be seeded using available EU data from MP ELO. We will be seeding in four separate groups of 32 based on the chosen date preference. Because MP ELO data for EU is somewhat limited with no ESL weekly logs or other EU tournament logs coming into the system we are still considering how teams with no prior MP ELO rating will be seeded, but we will have an answer on this soon. All EU Group Brackets should be released at the same time shortly after the RSVP window closes. Please note that these procedures only apply to EU ToG.

As a brief reminder, we request the assistance of EU TOs to submit logs here to help improve the system as we often cannot verify the validity of matches not being submitted by TOs.

Emails have been sent out for NA requesting that teams who no longer wish to participate let me know asap.

Certain teams have major discrepancies with their rosters which, if left unsolved will disallow them from participating in the event entirely. These teams have been contacted via in game mail. Please ensure to check your IGM so you don’t miss out on an opportunity to participate.

Other teams have minor discrepancies with their roster that, while it will may not affect their eligibility to play, may limit the people who can play for them and possibly prize distribution in the event the team qualifies for any. Teams that are affected by this will be emailed details on what they need to do along with their RSVP emails which should go out tomorrow.

Approximately 4-9 teams will not be invited to participate, but that does not mean you are out. In the event invited teams do not confirm their participation by the specified time, these teams will be invited in the order they applied.

Quick update for all NA Players: Im just waiting on two teams to move over from the 2nd weekend to the 1st and then Ill post a list of each team playing in each of the 4 qualifying events.

EU Invitations and Discrepancy notifications have been sent out. Captains, please check your inboxes for an email from events@mistpedia.net. Brackets and groups for the EU tournament will be posted sometime in the next few days.

ALSO, please ensure to check your junk folders. We have had teams miss emails in the past with it going to junk folders, and we’ve already gotten reports of this email chain making it into a few people’s spam inboxes. For future communication adding events@mistpedia.net as well as john@mistpdia.net to your trusted emails should ensure this sort of issue does not happen.
