i love the matchmaking atm, a lot better than it usually is for me. The only problem is that an even spead of classes doesnt seem to matter anymore. I keep seeing 3 thieves/3 necros/3 guards etc in the same team.

You can’t just expect to win by showing up. As someone pointed out above, Signet of Fire says a lot.

I lost 8 out of the last 10 games so far and I was legit legendary division last season.

you may not get good teammates but so does enemy team, i literary won 1v2 fight vs 2 necros….on vanilla dp thief…

I’m fine with losing the first few matches to shift everybody out, but eventually I’m supposed to get paired with and against people of my skill, which has not happened yet. It was not this bad last season at all.

Notice how most of the defeats are total blowouts. That surely cannot be purely my fault.

Afaik MM has been changed to place you more often than not against people in your own rank bracket before those of your same MMR. The sooner your get our of amber the better your matches should be and the more skilled play you will see.

It’s not that it’s broken but rather everyone is in amber.

Not only this but because of the new season there will be a huge influx of players that have never played PvP before or have never set foot in ranked. I believe their MMR value is guesstimated around the populus average by means of standard deviation. So even though their skill level isn’t average because they have never played it’s assumed so.

it’s a joke, I have no won a game all day, I’m always with pugs and always fighting guilds groups of 2, 3 or 4.

should it not be 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5 with pugs making up the odd numbers? why is that so hard to do?!

lol just when you thought it couldn’t get worse. And nothing but necros everywhere. Win or lose, the game is boring. Thanks Anet, I remember now why I barely log in anymore. Overwatch can’t be released sooner.

Who needs perfect matchmaking when you can play twice as many matches now. Short queues are sexy. I had a good feeling about it. Got rekt on some points by teams actually belong 4 leagues higher then me, but the overall pace was pretty even. That and I’ve been playing warrior pretty much all night :P.

Really depends who you are facing. I had relatively bad team today but enemy was just as bad really and let me decap far all match (and kept feeding me kills 1 by 1) so we came back eventually.

The real problem is how score doesn’t affect pip gain/los anymore so people are not motivated to try till the end of the game anymore. You need to make sure people on your team don’t give up too fast.

If it bothers you so much, wait couple of days, i think it will balance out a bit. Or play class/build that can do well in 1v2/1v3 situations. If your team loses fights a lot, just force enemy team to split. OR make premade xD

While I did win all my games today (4), all except 1 were “fair” games. I even won one 570 -5 (Foefire). Matchmaking was supposed to get us paired up with people from our previous tier (from last season), but I guess not lol.

Season 1 is MUCH rougher.

Season 2 so far is a breeze.

Aside from Reaper, classes are pretty balanced atm too.
There’s no unkillable spec currently.

Right now matchmaking is pretty much random vs random. If you lost 10 in a row, it might be you.

I actually ended up 0-19 before I finally won a match. I’m now like 1-29 or so.

Doubtful. I reached legendary last season without stronghold farming or MMR exploits. Pure regular conquest playing.
But I heared it is because my MMR is super low from trying to get class wins in legendary division. Now I only get newbs on my team.

Dude, you’re playing Ele so that’s expected. If you want to win as an Ele, snap on the pure healbot build and team up with Rev and Necro. If you’re not a healbot Ele, then honestly there is nothing to complain about. My condolences

Even a warrior can be better than a non-healbot Ele.

I plan on going slow this season for 9 professions 10 wins, but guess Anet want to throw me into higher division quickly :/

If you were a low MMR last season it will seem harder because right now you’re grouped with higher MMR players.
