I thought gw was supposed to be inspired by mtg. i recall a dev quote about that.

whats with the broken promise there for gw2?

this feels like when you get a new boss, fresh from college who’s never done any real work – eager to prove he’s a good ideas man so he starts changing the way work gets done inorder to prove he’s a genius with supervision.

only he actually has no idea how things work, and so he kittens everything up and blames the workers for not giving his vision a chance because they cant embrace change…

when the workers were actually only dragging their feet to stop the work from getting completely kitten.

ya. somewhere in that office is an ideas man with a big head who needs to have it popped.

Gw1 was inspired by mtg, gw2 is inspired by wow. If you loved gw1 for that reason, gw2 is probably not the game for you.

It could have been an awesome game, had it followed in it’s precedessors footsteps, but sadly it has become just another generic themepark mmo with a parade every 2 weeks.

GW2 is absolutely a great game, and a great many people love it and ArenaNet for all the hard work and love they put into it. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot. But coming to the forums and insulting the devs without any helpful criticism or advice is basically coming here for the sole purpose of being rude.

Does that matter though, when they don’t give a flying kitten about helpful criticism as seen during the last 12 months? Might as well just throw insults, it’s all the same.

They do listen though. Maybe even too much.

They have added quite alot in the 12 months too. The problem I think is the game released completely inadequate and unfinished. Then they have to focus on adding necessary features like map rotation.

Balance is too slow but what do you expect? If you want to play a really competitive pvp game with fine tuned balance then why are you playing an MMO?
