i’m guessing you’re just trolling, but the PvP skin ascended isn’t forgeable. That’s the bug.

The ascended armor that can be obtained in pvp cannot currently be stat swapped. I’m not sure if this is intended or not, but I spent 30g on commander insignias yesterday before realizing that this was the case. Good times.

Honestly, instead of it being forgeable, I’d rather see an item that lets you reset the stats, kinda like Bloodstone fen. Additional sink for Ascended shards. Balance that out by awarding 50 Ascended shards per repeatable Byzantium (optional).

That would be the idea, if they didn’t cap total ascended glory shards at 1800/season.

Are ascended weapons from PvP also not transmutable in forge? It looks like the chests just give you the standard ascended weapons, so I was hoping they wouldn’t have the bug.

The bug isn’t fixed and it’s starting to be really annoying that Arena Net wont say anything about it… It’s weird because the infusion slot issue got fixed pretty fast but this one wont get noticed and it’s a big issue too because the ring can’t be attuned or the armor stat swapped and there’s people like me that bought them before they knew that there was a cap on how many shards you could get per season and now can’t get the stats they really wanted.

In forge you can only switch stats on ascended weapon/armor that dropped for you (for example teq weapons afaik). Those you buy from vendor, so I would say it is working as intended.

On the other hand it would be stupid to force players to farm another set of gear if they have chosen the wrong stats, but then it seems anet wants more people doing pvp, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

Hey Anet , so im trying to change my stats on the new ascended PvP gear to Soldier for WvW sothat I can play the shout trooper but the mystic forge isn’t picking up the gear that’s in my inventory , only the rest of the recipe like the ectos , insignia and anthology of heroes , I have reported it ingame but came here just to make sure, I will attach a screenshot

This is happening to me too, I wanted to try condi but cant switch to viper; Shame that I spent money on the materials =(

I think he was actually defending you from people who were saying that the original post was incomprehensible, in spite of being pretty obvious as to its intended meaning.
