I have played some Solo Arena matches and after losing to some guys who strangely were on the same team for many games in a row……i came to this forum and saw some posts talking about sync-queing…
IS IT REALLY HAPPENING!?
Because honestly, ALL YOU NEED TO DO TO STOP SYNC-Q is put some code into the queue to put the 2 chromatically closest players in the queue on opposite teams
IT IS THAT EASY. WHY DIDNT YOU PATCH THIS?!
EVEN 10 years ago, when I was playing 2v2 even 4v4 in Warcraft 3…..or even in the very basic World of Warcraft battleground (casual, not ranked) THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. Hell it could not happen in any game that is serious about PVP at all…..
…I will still play PvP but i honestly think this sync-Q is sickeningly ridiculous……the fact it could even happen is…………disgusting…..
From what I’ve been reading Anet decided to have the matchmaker form teams to face each other instead of forming a lobby of 10 players to then be randomized into teams. Not sure how true this is and if so why Anet decided to go about it this way.
SYNC QUEUE IS NOW ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL. I just faced 4 people who i faced 6 GAMES IN A ROW! YES I MEAN IT, 6 GAMES IN A ROW. I just went from top 30 to top 150 because i lost 6 games in a row to 4 players who synced who are all on the same teamspeak. NOW I HAVE TO ADD them to Friend LIST just to see when they are in game so i can queue? PLEASE FIX IT PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE! After 100 solo queue fun games and 70% w/l ratio i started facing only syncers. its on a whole different level now…
I would not be shocked if this was intended so they could try to place some of their slow nephews in a position of high rank to bad by doing so voids any chance of the game being taken seriously and ultimately surviving. It’s not like the current balance isn’t a joke anyway so why not.

Work-around (like Super said): Add everyone above your rating to your friendslist. Add everyone around your rating to you friendlist. Stalk the ones around your rating and queue when they queue. Avoid everyone above your rating, as in queue when they’re in a game. Friendlist wars 2

Actually this did happen in WoW Battlegrounds even after they put the 5 queue limit into place. There were even mods that automated the queuing for you.

That is hilarious. lol

surprisingly simple solution, can’t believe i never thought of that
super, dont worry bout cheating syncers. they just get to noobstomp soloqers with honor. but you get to go to pax and have the opportunity of lifetime.
syncers are cheaters and you clearly know what happens to those who cheat.

Seems that way. The game sits on “waiting for team members” for about a second, then it sits on “waiting for game to begin” for like 10 minutes.
It is happening yes. Yesterday my team beated 3-man and 2-man sync’ers.
That really says something about the skill of those sync’ers.
“What you lack in quality, you make up in quantity” applys here perfectly.
If those syncers didn’t use VoiP, than in ideal situation the MM would have made 2 equal rated teams.
People get in roster with the people of similar rating. Therefore if top 5 players always enter at the same time, they will always be in the same roster and they’ll be fighting some other 5 people. What an amazing system!
Just dont forget if you play at times when not many ppl plays, you would get same ppl in match. In my case at around 1.00am same ppl were on my team/enemies for 3 games in a row, maybe some ppl also more but dont remember. So not everyone that you see often together could be syncers.
The syncers I was talking about on the last post were guildies. So yeah, pretty obvious
Synching is an obvious exploit and should have serious consequences when caught.
Should add in a method of reporting suspected players, and although this will turn out a lot of false positives that need to be investigated, obviously the player base can’t handle being on the honor system for a lot of things.
^It shouldn’t be considered an exploit because it’s the systems’s fault. Even without any intention you can get guildies in your team. The only advantage that syncing offers is if VoIP is used, which you can’t check.
butch people like you are the reason the human race is doomed.
I think someone was trying to Sync with me because I got the same leaver/afker 3 consecutively
lol.

Alrighty, define syncing for me please.
I’ve been with my guildie in a few matches. It was always a surprise to see him.
So that’s syncing? Because we wear the same guildtag though.
I’ve been with the same people over and over, match after match. Never intentional, but that’s syncing too then?
It’s the system and it’s ridiculously easy to exploit. But goodluck seperating the ‘real’ syncers from the ‘accidental’ syncers.
Most perceived “syncing” is accidental, but it’s pretty clear that some are exploiting the odds of getting on the same team by syncing.
It’s definitely corrupted the leaderboard and gameplay, but it’s only been less than a week, so let’s give Anet a little time to address the problem.
The fact that they haven’t posted a denial that syncing is occurring (or at least I haven’t seen it)…tells you they probably are working on a fix.
I would like an in game voice communications. Even lotro has one that is of lesser quality than a third party one, but at least it is there. This will go a long way in diminishing the benefits of syncing due to unfair communications the syncers have.
Edit: Not to mention it is 2013 and this is wtf in having to type kitten instead of saying it.
