Is anyone else just bored?

Yes mixing it up helps. PvE and WvW are also a lot of fun, I don’t know why so many people shun them.

I don’t shun them.
It’s just, for me, what is there to do in PvE? I can run the same dungeons over and over but that gets old after awhile. Also, living story I usually complete rather quickly.
As for WvW, it is fun but I don’t enjoy mindless zerging. I much rather would solo roam or havoc but I hate getting mowed down by zergs consistently. I don’t mind WvW though.
We have 1 game mode, an amount of maps you can count on one hand, and balance patches that happen few and far between :/
It has nothing to do with amount… just quality.
LoL survived, no, THRIVED on one map, one game mode for years.
Because it was well made.
Conquest sucks.
Conquest is terrible.
At very best it can be a side note of a mode to switch up gameplay from time to time.
Everyone has been telling Anet that since alpha.
Yet Anet decided one ‘controversial’ game mode could carry an entire game.
That’s the problem.

My problem is, PvE and WvW are equally as boring as pvp after 5k+ hours played.
You could focus on making some legendaries but then you have to do all the things that are boring to get there, like mapping and grinding out gold.. I suppose some people enjoy that, but I’m working on legendaries 5 and 6 and I am bored out of my mind.
If you’ve never done dungeons you could also speedrun or solo those for fun and profit.
I am always excited when the map switches to conquest after a good game of conquest.

I wonder what its like to work on a part of a game that nobody plays and play a part of a game that nobody works on.
There are more than enough maps, just not enough game modes.
@OP – Take a break from GW2, not like you’re losing money. It doesn’t look like ANet will be releasing new game modes for awhile. Personally I’m just waiting for another Super Adventure Box challenge

Actually, I shun PvE/WvW for exactly the same reason many people from those places shun PvP——NONE of my hard-earned rewards are usable.
As a player who mostly PvP I have a Sylvari necromancer who looks absolutely menacing wearing cultural T3 but what does she look like in WvW, a tavern wench?
Also, WvW allows veteran players to have better gear and stats to dominate new comers~which, is not the thing I look for in a game like Guild Wars

I completely agree. But they need to stop saying “LOL ESPORTS” all the time. It’s one or the other. Either this is a game for casuals or its a competitive esport. There really is a distinction between the two.

The cost of PvE is having your soul sucked dry. The cost of WvW is playing a game with ridiculous stats. Also playing with 70 – 80% warriors/guardians on any given map (ironically not too far off in soloque). And zerging, don’t forget the auto attack zerging.
TBH, it doesn’t really matter to me though as I have discovered dota. 10x better balance and 10x more complex teamplay and a game that’s completely free. Facepalm Anet.

Ya the amount of maps doesn’t bother me. Its the point capture. The game mode forces people to play a few different builds mostly bunker and its just boring. I mean seriously how hard could it really be to make another scoring system that is like first team to 50 kills wins on the same maps.
You should switch to the dungeon community for awhile, they’re always good for a laugh….. probably for the wrong reasons tho. Start with the dungeon forum. Which reminds me….
