Basically ive just had my entire evening of spvp ruined because i keep getting put into battlegrounds with a guild group thats using it to duel each other. If i try and cap a node both the blue and red team come over to kill me and carry on their fight, If i try anything to win my battleground they kill me as in their words ‘stop trying to shorten our duel time noob’.

Ive left 4 bgs just to be rejoined with them on the other team and as i cant do a personal message ticket I have no idea how to handle this.

Dont know if I should be trying to report them for ruining my game or just quiting pvp, either way doesnt seem fair.

I would say no, dont report, since there is no way to actually duel in this game besides this method.

Dont quit PvP either.

If you’re only getting put in these servers constantly, try selecting a server from the list instead of using the “Play Now” button. There are hundreds of hotjoin servers very often with spots free.

Everyone just misses the 1vs1 duel system that random arenas and guilds used to have on their own. It’s NOT against the rules if both groups agree in picking a server and actually take turns dueling in there.

I agree with Paranoid.9542’s view in selecting a server that does not involve dueling if you want to capture nodes regular-pvp style. Well gee Bear, how can I tell which servers aren’t dueling? If you get into a server with a lot of good sum of people on both sides that haven’t captured a node and are fighting arena style, then that should give you a “clue” as to what they are doing.

If you are aware that both teams mutually consented to a 1v1 or 2v2 duel, and you try to sabotage their dueling fun, then you are the “problem” not them.

Dont join servers with less than 10 people, problem solved.

Stop hitting the Play Now button. It hurts me that this needed to be posted.

The play now button should be removed. All it does is put you in games with 2-4 people dueling, generally in Raid of the Capricorn. Do manual joins and you will immediately enjoy the game more.

yea this is not a hard concept and i have no idea why your first thought to this is to report them if you see someone jumping up and down near a town do you report them as well?

Join now = empty games.

Anet should remove the “Join Now” button.

It just frustrates people who uses it. When I started PvP (after the game was released), I used the “Join Now” button. I was dissapointed > 90% of the time, because I’d either be in an empty server, or in a server where the people were trying to do something else (for example, farm glory by taking turns taking over points).

Anyways, I haven’t used it since.

P.S. – I understand OPs sentiment, because people aren’t playing the game like it was designed for. Albeit, I understand the other point of view as well.
