Often when in hotjoins I try to go for capture areas since that gives the most points. However often I’m doing it alone when the rest of my team is sitting at one area just killing instead. So I end up getting killed by a few players. Is it worth trying to capture or just sit with your team even if it means losing? I just can’t tell anymore.

you need to know how to disengage if you get outnumbered or outclassed.

the point really is to decap points so you just have to worry about your team winning their zerg fight.

Well, hotjoin isn’t about winning.

So do w/e you find fun lol.

I only do cheese/gimmick builds for fun and mess around.

you get more ranks and glory if your team wins. i know hotjoin is casual but i’m sure a lot of new players are enjoying it. dissing it don’t make you a better player at all.

If you’re in hotjoin, then don’t worry about it, go and join in on the zerg fight fun and forget about it.

In tPvP, as Valentin said, you have to know when to disengage. If you’re in a 2v1 and you are losing badly, then disengage and call for help or reinforce another point. It really does depend on what profession you play and what your role is too. As a Thief roamer, I would just flank around and cap it once they’ve moved on.
