I thought my character was bugged at the moment when I see 15 min.
The queue actually poped at 17 min, which I think it breaks my previous record 13 min.
Can you guys at least let us join some hotjoins or personal arena to duel with friends while waiting for these life wasting queues? The average queue time for me now is around 8~9 mins, which is just ridiculous .
Waiting these queues also sucks for streamers to stream Guild Wars 2 PvP. Viewers lost their interest by watching streamers just standing in HoTM and do nothing but killing golems. I believe most of the streamer in Guild Wars 2 PvP has whined about that they can’t do anything while waiting for the queue pop. Even veteran players couldn’t really handle these boring queue times, how about those new comers who just join Guild Wars 2 PvP?
Can we go roam about in PVE while queued like before?

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
You should just do what i do, once the q time hits 6-10 mins start losing, takes awhile but it’s worth it in the end..
The leader boards haven’t meant anything since launch, same with win/loss rates, Unless your a competitive person who must win every game, I can’t really see the point of waiting that long for a match..
There was a patch a while ago that has your icon on your bar flash orange whenever a match is ready. Sometimes the trumpets play, some times they don’t.

At night I have to turn sound off. And yeah, sometimes I notice the flash. Often times I don’t though. Was much better on windows 7, on windows 8 I miss it much more often.

A lot of people seem to enjoy trolling map chat while they wait (though I’m pretty sure a lot of those aren’t queued at all :/), so I guess that’s a thing.
*note:PvP means Player vs Player and not Person vs Person ;p
You can’t even do Belcher’s Bluff in mists!
It’s ridiculous just sitting there – thus… you get players of all ages trolling people in map chat creating a fairly bad environment.
Honestly when this first new queue system was released, it was actually bugged to where players could actually queue outside of the mists. Rarely any 4v5’s. The 4v5’s that exist feel like people leave half way through a game or right before one, not because they just decided not to show up.
If I recall correctly, their sole reasoning was that they didn’t want people with slow computers to ruin the queue system for everyone, but as I suggested 3 months ago, they should honestly leave that up to the discretion of the player himself, and just raise the queue pop notification to 30 seconds max to accept (it wont always take 30s, because if everyone accepts, its a good day, right?). The people that have potato computers will be forced to not leave the mists or go to any place that requires more than a 30s loading screen, and people that actually do have a decent PC (the majority) will be able to do as they please and cease the complaints.
Don’t punish the majority for the minority. Implement dishonor, and let people queue outside of the mists. Please and thanks

I doubt they read your reports honestly. Not to demotivate you or anything.
This issue is a reason why me and my friends stopped playing gw2. Also the accept system is terrible because you have to stay at your pc to click it. If you queue with a group often you are waiting 45 minutes because someone misses the queue pop getting a drink or something.
All this to stop very few 4v5? The cure is way worse than the disease.

This is the main reason I don’t play as much anymore. Balance issues and joke leaderboard aside, it is just annoying to queue now…especially with friends (as Lordrosicky says it often takes much much longer).
I watch Phanta, 5G, and a few others. It really does bore the viewer to have half of stream be waiting around in hotm. Personally, I just browse the internet while waiting, but if I were a high mmr streamer, I would probably play a turn-based game (or something that can be easily paused) in windowed mode while queued up. That would give something more interesting for the viewer to look at.
That said, Anet really needs to make it so people can continue playing GW2 while queued.
I think we need to be able to 1v1, so we are more practised and it’s a lot of fun and we get some rewards for winning a 1v1 so other player doesn’t go afk.
I dont even know why anet did this it was way better before when u couldve wvw or dueled while waiting plzzz give us that back cant keep doing nothing for 8 min per game
Agreed, I don’t see what the problem was with the previous queue system, obviously confirming the queue was a good idea but why can’t we pve/wvw/hotjoin during these times? I also wish people clicked the “ready up” button from time to time, I’m not very fond of having to wait 2 more minutes after having a 5+ minute queue.
Bump. Yeah if Anet can fix this issue, obviously its not a bug or glitch in the system. It is a interruption of gameplay. You tell us to update our drivers so we wont lag in wvwvw ok will do that, but can u guys just make it so we can be in eotm or wvwv or in tyria while in que or just join hotjoin.
The queue times can be really long, I strong support the OP. letting us join hotjoins will permit us to join/warm up in hot joins/king of the hills and actually play the game instead of waiting.
This pretty much sums up why I don’t play much anymore, it was bad enough that the LB changed to be centered around play time and games over being the best, but on top of that I get to do absolutely nothing with a normal queue time being 6 minutes or more (for me).
Make a free for all zone in the mists. When you enter you become hostile to everyone else in the zone. People can enter kill some people or die and respawn and re enter.
I dont give a flying FVCK if que time are long. what i kittening care about is the fact i cant do kittenign kitten while im waiting. its kittening pathetic and kittening unacceptable. kittening change this you lazy peices of kitten a-net listen to the kittening community
+1 for this post.
