Q:

So far I have encountered very positively mannered players in sPvP for the most part.
I came to the forums expecting the same mannered players but it is the exact opposite. People either blaming other people for being “bad players” or removing a mechanic from the game. Rarely do I see players helping other players with sPvP advice. Even when the Devs come into a topic to give players some information/insight to be helpful they get kitten on instead. I really think moderators are too lenient atm. They need to step their game up to timeout or start laying down the hammers to the ***holery. What has your experience on mannerism been like fellow players XD in game pvp and forums?

I think many of these players are surprised at the difficulty of pvp. “This or that class owns me all the time and I can’t do anything and this game sucks” They’re just not used to it, I guess. People are just getting too emotional about losing. Best advice I’d have for people is to take a break, go out with some friends and have a pizza, come back and play the class that owned you. People in game are busy actually playing the game, not raging about losing.

It is indeed a good answer, looking at other classes build and playing them and learning what counters them and gets countered by them is an important process in know how to set up a balanced spec for your class that may be at a disadvantage in certain secnarios, but not completely helpless. Except against that thief that runs stone poision haste backstab thats 2 second of unable to do anything and in that 2 seconds deals all your life in damage but, being caught off guard happens. If you see that thief with the poison up not really to hard to keep your distance and immob him or cripple him, weakness and retaliation are great to. To bad the people would prefer to complain instead of learn and practice the tactics to avoid it.

u gotta realize these are mostly teenage boys who like to put each other down…its how most young dudes are.

this concerns me however as it seems a clique and keeps out the “family” mom and dad types

In tournies I generally see players talk or say GG. Not so in random matches, lots of taunting, “ur bad” “lol noob” and the like.

In addition to Milo’s answer, people come to the forums very often to voice opinions on topics where skill/gear/balance/etc isn’t involved. For instance, the Downed State always has a heated discussion. The mandatory Red.v.Blue color dyes. Grouping with friends. Etc. These topics tend to rile people up as they have no definitive answer beyond the basic “yes please” and “god no”, with all arguments deriving from one or the other. Enter one thread, get riled up, and head on to others in the wrong frame of mind to act as a positive addition to the community.

One of the many reasons I think the P.H.P. forum is brilliant.
