Anyway we know they aren’t all responsible for everything but at the same time when they said they would release something, we didnt expect them to release it at literally the last moment before the year ends (christmas). How am I supposed to convince the hundreds of people ive told about this game to come over to PvP if they have nothing to even look forward too.

If you feel GW2 PvP is fun, tell them that. If you don’t enjoy GW2 PvP, tell them that.

What were you planning on saying? “Hey guys, GW2 just put in a great new awards system so now when you play you really feel you’re making progress toward nice skins and titles.” I don’t mean this to sound sarcastic, I just don’t understand what your friends have to do with the reward system.

Well first of all there is more to it than that but since you don’t understand I’ll explain.

My friends are extremely good Pvp’rs that are waiting for a new game to play. They don’t care about esports at all. We only care about how fun the pvp is, the aesthetics, fun game modes, being able to show off our skill, and working towards something meaningful.

Gw2 pvp has none of that at the moment. Why would I tell them to come play Gw2 when the pvp isn’t fun, just the combat is. There is a difference. I mean there is nothing to work towards etc……..those mean alot, so having something as simple as a good ladder, rewards, and bragging rights are huge as a PvPr. Also with the new reward system maybe more people will play PvP so if they do come one day to gw2, they won’t leave right away to the complete ghost town the mists are or be grinding for nothing.

Btw some mod will probably try to delete this too.

I hear your frustrations, Morf. In early December the PvP team will be able to preview what we’ve been working on and what we’ll continue to be working on in the new year. I think you guys will be happy with what we’ve come up with – I know I am.

This sounds very hopeful. Your words come with an extra weight of credibility for me since you literally came from the high-end pvp demographic and have been straight-forward and honest with us throughout the whole process you’ve been through.

Why not reset MMR but have a minimum based on rank. Sure this wont solve some problems and the people who head bashed their way to 50 from 10 in glory farms are still going to be matched higher than they should but at least majority will be in the right spots.
