Is there a tiebreaker for draws?
I belive it’s impossible to get 500 points at the EXACTLY same time. One always gets it a bit faster.
Yeh the red ream wins lol. Lost a few 500-500 when it was 499-499 and we both had 1 point capped.

Team with the player with most score points should win

That might be the case – it’s just the points are being updated at the same time and capture points tick at the same time when you capture or neutralize – it gives the illusion though that the points are being scored at the same time when it really isn’t happening…

Just have to hope I’m always on red team then xD.
I’d like to know this too.
It’s only happened once for me, but it was recently so i recall the situation very well.
We were blue with 2 points, red with 1.
Score is ticking up and quick math makes it clear we’re both going to hit 500 at the same time.
So score’s ticking up and sure enough it gets right to where blue has 498 (2 points held) red with 499 (1 point held).
Then the tick happens, red goes to 500, blue goes to…499. I was guarding one of the points and no one was attacking me so I had basically just been staring at the score the last 5 seconds, didn’t miss anything. No points flipped, blue definitely still held 2 points as the last tick happened, no kills occurred etc.
I was kinda kitten at the time so I didn’t think to start adding up team scores in time though.
team with most eles
I remember a Dev saying something about a tie breaker involving total individual scores.
If the team scores are tied, we compare total player scores for each team. In this case, it looks liked the red team had a total of 50 more player-score.
This was stolen from a thread that had a picture of red team winning 500-500.

I had my first 500-500 game a couple days ago, I’d post screenshot when I got home but someone beat me to it with theirs.

If a game ends in a tie, then it looks at the total player scores for the teams.
So in the above example, the red team had a higher player score total than the blue team, so red won.

that’s a really bad system

How is that a bad “system”? That seems perfectly fine for hot-join. It’s all for glory farming anyways.

How is it a bad system? Ties are not an acceptable end result in tournaments. And so you need a way to determine a winner. Looking at total team score or even highest individual score is a simple and elegant way of breaking ties. Extending time and/or increasing point cap is much more work and makes for a more cumbersome system.

is this bait? what is there to farm glory for?
And now the logical follow-up question:
What happens if both teams reach 500 at the same time and both teams have the same total player score?

So many variables go into that that it would be almost impossible for each player on each team to match up every other players score on the opposing team WHILE both teams reach 500 simultaneously simply because of all the different variables that affect players individual score on each map…. With the variety of different ways players have to achieve score this would have such a small small chance of happening that I highly doubt it ever could and if it does each team should simply bow and acknowledge the skill of the other and also compliment how well both teams worked well with each other because what you speak of would truly be a feat.

it’s surely a simple way to do it. it’s also completely meaningless. might as well do it with an rng.
I would stop the counter and count the next kill or whatever.

Easy and simple way to test this is to have 2 people enter a custom server, each cap a side point at the same time, and wait until 500.
thought the chance of this happening in a real match would be near impossible….
