Guild Wars 2

I’ve recently picked up the game again in hopes to get a bit familiar with the game before the new content is released, but after keeping tabs on the forums and other websites, it doesn’t seem to be mentioned or even anticipated anytime soon. Was I wrong to assume it would be soon after the China release and the PVP reward track?

It was all a trick. Overhyped by Anet trying to make us believe something will happen one day. Its been going like this since beta … and all we got is horizontal development. Little toys to keep us happy pretty much. Traits and new skills that are barely used.

They dont have or never had the resources to make this game in to a quality esports game

Since when has Arenanet ever shared their long term plans relating to content because someone made a forum post about asking?

I don’t know why people are still impatient for the next balance patch when the feature patch – which altered the meta significantly – was released last month. I would argue that there really isn’t a direction to move in as far as balance goes at this point since there haven’t been too many serious competitions since the Tournament of Legends to observe and tweak the meta off of. In fact a large portion of the top players (at least in the NA scene) are missing at the moment because they simply have no motivation to play.

The lack of catering to the competitive scene at the time being is understandable given that China release is taking up quite a few of the companies resources. However, I would recommend that Anet announce another tournament which has REAL LIFE rewards (whether it be a cash prize, a trip, or hardware) and possibly announce this in tandem with the ladder system. Optimally, this should be announced within the next 2-3 months because right now the miniscule scene we do have is decaying rapidly.
