I’m not really complaining or assuming either way, I’m just curious.

I did some SPvP and got a couple ranks up, and wound up getting pieces of PvP gear much better than the ‘starter’ stuff you can initially grab for free.

Is there actually gear progression? I thought there was no ‘better’ gear post-80.

see attached. the armageddon coat i got in my first deer chest or a gold tournament chest, can’t remember.

but (not counting the rune obviously) you can CLEARLY see how much better the stats are than the default light armor coat that you start with/the vendor sells for free. I have a large advantage over people.

trolling aside, no. there’s not. you just unlock better skins. all gear is equal.

Okay but the thing is, the default PvP scepter deals 998-1098 damage or the sort, while the one I got from ranking up to rank 2 deals 1098-1,198. It’s blatantly better.

So is there progression or not?

You should probably double check those numbers before you complain.

The gear you acquire later looks better. That is all.

The only difference in the two coats is that you are using different runes, and on one you have a full set of runes on all your armor.

There are actually some spvp weapons that are slightly worse than others. If you bought the purple vendor weapons you made a mistake as those are genuinely worse. The gold vendor weapons are the ones you should use as they have the proper stats, I’m not even sure why the purple ones are still there.

I was wondering too until i looked closely,they are named Steady items,and when i looked at their damage it says something like 331-331,112-112 so they have no damage range they will always deal the same damage,so you can buy one and go to test dummies and put your skills or traits or anything to see how they effect your damage exactly.

if thats true, then i suppose you go doublecheck and report as this will be bug.
