I could have swore I heard a dev mention that there will be a PvP patch preview today, but I can’t find any information regarding what twitch channel or time, if it’s actually happening.
Any info is great. I’m assuming it’s going to be Guild Wars 2 official twitch channel.

Guild Wars 2 sPvP beginner’s guide……yeah
From the Livestream: “the balance livestream preview is Monday at noon PDT”
What a waste of time. Thanks anyways.
Announced as pvp patch preview haha :P Even removed it from the “Release/Announcement” site. State of the game after more than a year?…at the beginning
I just don’t get it. Couldn’t we have had a roundtable discussion about the balance changes that are definitely going live on Tuesday, if the content wasn’t stream-able?
I mean, we’re only like 2 total work days away from patch day (I assume ANet doesn’t work weekends). The patch should be pretty set in stone at this point, as far as what’s getting changed.
Yet, I’m the one who gets censored in twitch chat for calling the “beginners guide” stream garbage. When, in fact, those are the type of videos that should have been done pre-launch to begin with on an official youtube channel, then embedded on the main site as a tutorial resource for PvP. Nope, we need that today instead of a patch preview/discussion.
Just… wow. I really hope it isn’t that difficult for ANet to figure out why community members express such disappointment.
The stream wasn’t bad it was exactly what it was intended to do. A beginner’s guide. Yeah it probably should have been done earlier in the game’s life cycle. However better later then never. Hopefully it gets more players interested in pvp.

That still doesn’t explain why it had to happen instead of a patch preview as opposed to in addition to.
That’s the point I’m trying to get at. If there is only the rest of the work day today, the entire day on Monday, and the morning of Tuesday, I sincerely hope that there isn’t anything that still needs so much work until finalization that it can’t be discussed on a preview stream.
As I would prefer it to not be that problem, I would hope that ANet would just come right out and say something like “sorry, we did not have the personnel needed to stream a patch preview at this time, we apologize for the inconvenience.”
It would be much more acceptable than quietly changing everything around and then streaming what was streamed today.
I’m honestly not trying to flame ANet. I’m trying to offer some constructive criticism about how the issue was handled so that hopefully it gets handled better in the future.
I can understand being upset since they just changed it at the last second. I too was looking forward to the preview. However they are probably busy working on the patch up until the last second. Patches need constant testing, look at all the bugs that still happen when they release them. We are still getting a preview on Monday, and the patch is still coming Tuesday. So no sense crying over spilled milk.
I do agree that they should have came out sooner, and said we are doing this instead.

That’s all I’m saying.
As far as the crying goes, I always wait til the written patch notes to see if I’ll be doing any of that lol.
Well not to whine but i believe that 15th Oct patch may be postponed a little more..They dont seem ready to me.
Theyve done so many things in Living Story in such a short time dat i think that they may have a problem putting this patch live..
And i think that they will not put every change they wanted to make, just a small balance patch imo
bait and switched
Most ironic part is their community team still hasn’t told us what happened.
…meanwhile Whiteside’s in another forum promising better communication in the coming weeks…
