Recently while fighting a ranger underwater in calricorn i noticed this….Rangers downed pet heal is Astonishingly strong underwater… I killed a ranger underwater today on Capricorn (1v1) and we had mid, there were 2 sharks chomping on him and me DPSing him in his downed state, his downed damage ended up downing me, AND HE REZZED from his pet with 2 sharks and me damaging him. It was ridiculous, since you can’t stomp underwater. The ranger whispered me and was laughing “lol that just happened, that kitten is op.” I couldn’t believe it. We really need to be able to stomp someone underwater.

I have had other players similarly agree with me on this, and I was just wondering if any others have had this issue?

Note I’m not calling for nerfs to the rangers downed state just yet, just looking for some input from others, with not being able to stomp a player underwater the only option is to attack them to kill them, with the pet heal the ranger can continually attack you while gaining life.

uw stomp would be fine…warriors are always going to vengeance uw because you can’t just dps them quickly enough and now those uw downed rangers tanking dmg better that when they are up. give us a finisher and everything is gonna be ok.

Its not just underwater, i had a 1vs1 with an Engineer on my Ranger on Temple of the silent storm, both running condition specs and we both ended up downed on the point. I went down first and then him a split second later, then a few moments later a random enemy thief comes running in and begins to autoattack my toon, only to realize my pet is doing a pretty good job of rezzing me en then quickly proceeds to stomp, yet i do manage to get revived just in time while the engineer was still dpsing me lol. I still lost because thieves have that ‘Press 2 for 10k dmg’ button, but oh well, as long as they dont kill ur pet, ranger downed state is actually pretty damn strong atm.

Its a bug.Ranger pet healing is a lot stronger underwater and pet heals you even when he is dead.

Can this please be hot-fixed? It’s insane right now. Rangers can heal to full in an underwater downed state like no other class and people are abusing it.

i can see the problem with underwater rezz since there is not a way to stomp a player and pets give a considerable amount o healing,however, in solid land? i don’t see the problem.

for starters, Lick Wounds (the one that pets heal) is on a 20 seconds use. if u have not killed a ranger/stomped a ranger on that time, what were u doing?.
secondly, pet can be knocked-back/fear off and it will stop “lick Wounds”.
third, pets get glitched on slopes/irregular terrain and don’t heal what so ever.
fourth, AoE kill pets like no tomorrow, there goes lick wounds down the drain.

as for 1v1 downstate? well, yh, we kinda have the upper hand on those xD the only class that can actually kill us is a Venged warrior. those suckers have invulnerability and can’t be rupted. but, so what? we have the upper hand in 1v1 downstate, but what about the rest?
